  1. Check out JDMLS's thread...that should get you started in the right direction as far as setups are concerned!
  2. May not be applicable b/c I use a spinning reel and it's harder to keep my presentation in front of my float. I put all my shot under the float to the leader...equally spaced to the swivel. I leave my floro leader absent of any shot so the current can take it easier. For the creek you and I know, I'll leave about 1 to 3 feet of mainline under the float to the leader, and then use a 2 to 3 foot leader depending on the flow. For high, fast and murky water, the leader is shorter but from the swivel to the float is longer...keeping the bait lower in the water. I've re-read this and I dont know if it make sense to you...but it does to me....LOL.
  3. Great stuff RF!! I'd have been with CC and Bly today if it wasn't for work and a bad back....details details...LOL. Great looking Brown too....I have yet to hook into one on a trib. Keep posting your reports...this is after all a fishing board!!
  4. What??? Can't you tell that it's the rare albino, overbite Steelhead? Ok ok ok...it wasn't photoshopped....but I did use MS Paint.
  5. Labatt 50 and Schlitz cans. Actually...I'm not a beer drinker...I just remember my uncle would leave that nasty stuff at our house after a visit....LOL
  6. A while ago, I remember seeing a post that mentioned a commercial grade glow in the dark paint. I found a few sites online that claim to have the longest lasting formulations. One site (http://glowinc.com/) mentioned that theirs can last from 12 to 24 hours. The also said that of course it glows the brightest right away and then fades. The main thing I want to know is the decay rate of light. My question is...has anyone used a paint that will last longer than the typical lure that you can buy (like Glow in the Dark Cleos)?
  7. I actually liked the music! Great video...some real nice eyes there! Thanks for taking the time to share and post!
  8. Great stuff! This board never ceases to amaze me...some awesome members here...willing to lend a hand!
  9. Awesome stuff Gerritt! I hope this means you are starting to feel better now! I'll be taking the boat out of the garage next weekend....start the motor, mount some rod holders, lighting check etc... Ahhh....I can almost taste open water fishing....
  10. Wow...fantastic report and pics! That's a great shot of you impersonating a popsicle LOL. Really nice looking fish...must have felt great to win that fight. BTW....you gotta stop following me or I'll get a restraining order...that's me 3rd from the right in that shot of all the anglers in the water.... Actually, I was busy catching nothing much on a home trib.....LOL
  11. Ok...it's not enough that I'm not going fishing with you two on Monday.....LOL The GPS will be on and marking every hole you fish at...you do know that right??? haha
  12. Wow MJL....all that adversity, but look at the final product! I'm seriously impressed! Allergy, taking up space in the house for a month.... You wanna make me one now? LOL
  13. When I'm trib fishing I forget to eat! I usually bring a sandwich and lots of water on the tribs. On a boat, it's sandwiches, chips and gatorade!
  14. Cool...I'll be sending away for it for sure then! Thanks for the info.
  15. Great report Jen....your commentary always allows me to imagine what was going on around you. Happy to hear you had a banner day fishing and a great overall vacation!
  16. Awesome report and those are some great looking fish! I know what you mean....I have a 6 year old daughter who loves to fish and I can just sit and watch her as she reels in panfish after panfish all day long!
  17. Funny you mention that.... Our local store is having it's one year anniversary....we picked up 3 adult life jackets (Reg 49.99) for 14.99 each just yesterday...LOL. We figured for that price, we may as well have some extras kicking around. Oh and if you do the math, that's about 70% off....
  18. I was just looking up what that was....the info I saw was for continental USA only....or do they have a Canadian version as well? I'll get it anyways...why not right?? LOL.
  19. I'm sure you'll have a great time TJ! I have nothing of value to offer though LOL.
