  1. Sounds great...thanks a lot man!
  2. Hmmm....is adding weapons to the store a good idea?? LOL
  3. Hey Kemper...you selling any of yours? I'd try a few out.....
  4. I no nothing about the domestic marine motor industry, but I know this is true of others. A product that is assembled in the US or Canada likely has a large part of it's components made overseas. If this is the case with motors, is there that much of a difference...especially if they are offerring the same warranties?
  5. Steelies!!!! Fish for steelies!!!!
  6. Hehe....I believed it until you said "According"....LOL. Yep...the creeks are running very high!! Stay safe everyone!
  7. LOL Snag....could almost taste that PB...dont ya hate it when they get away at the last minute like that? So, Kayak in Lake O (if that's where you were)....do you get to use two lines even if it's docked?? Great report....gotta let them spawn now so you can catch more pike next year!!! I see a lounger on a rapala in your future....maybe a la-z-boy!!!
  8. Darn it...I just tried to block bly from the forums...oh well...maybe next time....LOL
  9. I can see it now...so either it's fixed or I'm a mod/admin now....LOL
  10. When fishing for steelhead in small enviroments, like creeks, they can be really line shy. Clear waters are your enemy! Floro is used because the same pound test is much thinner than it's mono equivalent, making it harder for the fish to see. In clear waters, I'll use a 4 pound leader....at night or stained waters, I'll go with 6 pound. That being said, all floros are not created equally. I used Vanish last year and had a lot of break offs, but didn't have anything to base an opinion. I changed to Drennan this year and I LOVE it. Bly uses both Drennan and Raven and has been happy with them.
  11. Didn't see it....is it supposed to be under extra resources or general forum?
  12. I've never used a pin, so I'll those guys answer that one. I use a swivel betwen my mainline (8lb mono) and my Floro leader (4 to 6lb). The steel clamps I believe were for guys fishing larger game...for 80lb leaders.
  13. Link wont work for me TJ.... The error returned was: Sorry, the link that brought you to this page seems to be out of date or broken.
  14. Oh man...you made us...and here I thought we had the perfect disguise. Great report and pictures....enjoyed following your travels to all the tribs.
  15. Hey Rich...great report. You took a break from posting for a while there, but I have to say I'm enjoying yours and sugarpacket's reports! Good luck on the catfish baits!
  16. What CC said....they need the high oxygen levels in the rifts for their eggs to survive from what I understand.
  17. Maybe it has more to do with the shallower waters near the shore. They will get the runoff first and will melt first making it unsafe in those locations. I would think maybe you may have to swim to the safer ice further out? Then again...it's just a guess.
  18. Again...great tunes! Love these video reports....
  19. I've been using yahoo mail for years. It's never gone down, never lost any messages or attachments and the spam filters are not too bad.
  20. Ever since TJ spilled the secret recipe to Bly in a drunken state at Lakair, (TJ being drunk that is), that's the only one we use....
  21. Terry...what a bummer! I drive from the Oshawa area to Toronto every weekday and I'll be sure to look for a trailer with an ATV....even have the camera phone ready to take a pic if it looks even close.
  22. In your post...make sure you click on the drop down menu that says to enable html...either type will work.
  23. Thanks everyone....that first female was a rush to land...almost lost it down stream as it took off! First, just to be clear....Bly caught all kinds of fish...just didn't feel like reporting on them. (yeah right....LOL) Second, I suppose I could be a wierdo...how would I know? Third, we use glow sticks that attach to the top of our floats. Fourth, the creeks are blown now after the warm temps and rain today....hopefully by the weekend we'll be good to go again.
  24. Wow...you really did go out fishing today! Great stuff Glen...and that's one fine fish! See? Bly and I are not crazy for shore fishing....and just because we have a boat, we'll still continue to shore fish most of the time. The boat will be for weekends....when we only have a few hours after dinner to fish, our fav shore spots is where you'll find us. You think you'll have crowds there tomorrow now?? LOL
  25. I hear ya Glen...I've learned my lesson. You notice I didn't post anything on the boat launch threads??? LOL. I'd have loved a nice clear pic of that first female, but since I knew she was being released, I quickly put her back in the water.
