  1. Mike...great report! The waters looked mint! Happy to hear about your new house....but that wallet thing sucks. I got a birth certificate immediately at the office here in Toronto. I think it cost me $20, but it was worth it to me at the time. Just go to the office, take a number, offer up a few pieces of ID and they'll print it right off for you. I'll try to get some updated info for you and PM it.
  2. Interesting stuff that's for sure! Thanks for the links.
  3. LOL...you notice the cake I chose to post? The woman has the net and the guy has the fish on....hehe.
  4. A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY goes to Bly today!!! Hope you have a great day...it sucks that it's raining today....or we'd have gone fishing somewhere!
  5. LOL...I'm up at 5:40 every morning for work....I had a PM so I checked that. Good guess about steelhead fishing though...I'd likely be up at that time to do that as well. I've been at the office since 715 this morning....
  6. I knew if there was going to be any reports today they'd be from you and CC. Great job out there...beautiful warm day...nice fish and you got to share it with your g/f.
  7. Yeah, like we believe you now Scott....LOL. Great job out there...as usual Nice fish....as usual It's great to see your reports again....board hasn't quite been the same without them!!
  8. Rue Sainte Catherine...oh wait...you said you were going with your wife...scratch that.....hehe.
  9. Pike, Walleye and smallies...yep...still the main fish there. Here's a website to check out some general info.... http://www.woodlandechoes.on.ca/ahmic.htm Here's a few pics from Ahmic Lake last year.... Nothing huge, but the fish are there....good luck!
  10. That's the spirit! The only way to catch fish is to get out there....
  11. That is too funny! I could see myself doing that one year though....LOL
  12. Cant talk right now....bidding ends in 1 minute.......
  13. I use this all the time. Just keep a close look at those time indexes...sometimes there is a lag of a full day...other times it's only a few hours off.
  14. Wayne...even the you didn't get back isn't lost...you know exactly where it is.....hehe.
  15. Here's the flu report for the week ending March 28th.... Gerritt...Hamilton is at VERY high activity....Toronto is at high.... Source: http://www.theweathernetwork.com/flu/index/
  16. Gerritt.....I had a cough that started roughly at the start of March. I was still functional, but pretty exhausted by the end of the day. Then on March 19th, I had fever, aches, stomach cramps, headache, couldn't get warm, night sweats. That lasted until March 22nd. In those 4 days, all I could eat was toast....and drank water and tea. By the 23rd, I was feeling hungry again and ate some food. Monday a little better, but I had no energy and had lost 8 pounds. By Tuesday still a little weak, but not so bad. I went back to work on the 26th. There are few here at the office that have been gone for a week as well....same kind of symptoms. I'm just glad that no one else in my family got it. My little started to....but she fought it off. Hope you start getting better soon....this is one hell of a bug going around! If you haven't already....go see your doctor...
  17. Great stuff you two! Maybe next time you could catch a few big fish.... Landing those sailfish must have been a huge rush....great report...great times....the smiles on the two of you says it best though.
  18. It's only a 30 minute drive for him (10 minutes more than he drives now), so I dont really think that would be a huge issue. His wife goes from 5 minutes to 40....an inconveniece, but not huge. Like solopaddler said though, 2 years on a mortgage isn't a long time, however, if where you are moving housing is cheaper, then it's conceivable that any mortgage you get would be pretty insignificant.
  19. Other suggestions 1) When I dropped my cell phone in the lake, I put it over an air conditioning vent in the car, and then in the house. The cool dry air did a great job taking the moisture out. 2) I've heard about putting in a ziploc bag and add a little rice....the rice will absorb any moisture. I'd suspect putting the bag in the sunlight like Wayne suggested will help it even more! Good luck!
  20. I travel 110kms per day in Toronto rush hour traffic and I dont even have a cottage that's any closer....LOL. I live that far from work because I cant afford a house in the city....once you do it for a few weeks, you likely wont even notice the drive anymore.
  21. I didn't have to pay any tax on the boat and motor...just the trailer for the registration/plates to the MTO. I also didn't have to pay to transfer the registration number through the government.
  22. Me too...especially in my younger days....
  23. OUCH!!! Ohhh...you mean like fenceposts and such? Happy Birthday to the little fella!
  24. I also seem to remember another thread recently Kemper..... Gotcha!! LOL
