Hey G.... There are no corporate stores...haven't had any as far as I know. I wont lie, cost was a huge factor...business is business. I'm a catalogue browser as well...more convenient than online viewing any day of the week. I'm just a peon though....LOL.

Lot's of people loved it Gerritt...and the decision to do this wasn't taken lightly. I wasn't directly involved, however, if it was just going to be a PDF online, that wasn't going to be acceptable. The online version allows you to choose a section and scroll thru it like a catalogue right on the site...not like the Lebarons site where you have to actually download every page spread. I got an update today from work saying that the online catalogue is getting overwhelming support from not just the media, but from a lot of customers. I believe the idea was piloted in a control area last year, and the decision to go nation wide was made as a result of that test. I personally liked the catalogue..and will miss it as well...I've even made cameo appearances in it a few years back....LOL. Retailers all across Canada are reducing their print advertising...Canadian Tire decided to take a lead....right or wrong.

Just watch out for planes landing on your training ground.....hehe.

Before I hit that last paragraph, I was thinking of Cesar. That guy rocks!! If anyone has a dog, I urge to to check out just a few episodes of his show...it's on the National Geographic Channel. His teachings make so much sense after he explains why it is he's doing what he's doing.

Yep...this site has given me hours and hours of entertainment over the past year and a bit. New friends have been made, lots of tips have been learned. The people make this site work....so kudos to everyone...the mods, the members etc!!!

Great report Anton! Glad to hear you got a follow...makes the heart pound doesn't it? When I started steelheading the tribs for the first time last winter, I was skunked the first oh....10 times I went out!! Don't worry...success will come to those that get out there and fish!

Great stuff! Gotta love catching them gals this time of year. The one good thing about all the snow this year is that you dont always have to wait for a rain....just have to spend the time to check conditions as they can change within a short period of time.

So, did I miss anything today? I went to work and then went fishing with Bly....got skunked....maybe I'll post a report.....

Hmmm...I did a bunch of research this past fall. I picked up a 14 foot aluminum, in good condition...solid transom, removable fishing seats, carpeted, minimum dents, rod holders, fishfinder. Motor I got was a 1983 Merc 18hp 2 stroke. Started up right away when driveway tested. Bought both for $1,300. Does your friend's come with a trailer? For boat and motor, I wouldn't go more than $400. For a trailer in good shape add $300.

Thanks all....and we'll continue to post our success with not just steelhead...but any other species we target.

We figure these are the same fish that swim by piers...so if nets are good for those guys..... Netting them means they are not as tired as we get them out of the water sooner. Thanks for the tip though, but I think we'll stick to what we are comfortable with.
