Terry...what a bummer! I drive from the Oshawa area to Toronto every weekday and I'll be sure to look for a trailer with an ATV....even have the camera phone ready to take a pic if it looks even close.

In your post...make sure you click on the drop down menu that says to enable html...either type will work.

Thanks everyone....that first female was a rush to land...almost lost it down stream as it took off! First, just to be clear....Bly caught all kinds of fish...just didn't feel like reporting on them. (yeah right....LOL) Second, I suppose I could be a wierdo...how would I know? Third, we use glow sticks that attach to the top of our floats. Fourth, the creeks are blown now after the warm temps and rain today....hopefully by the weekend we'll be good to go again.

Wow...you really did go out fishing today! Great stuff Glen...and that's one fine fish! See? Bly and I are not crazy for shore fishing....and just because we have a boat, we'll still continue to shore fish most of the time. The boat will be for weekends....when we only have a few hours after dinner to fish, our fav shore spots is where you'll find us. You think you'll have crowds there tomorrow now?? LOL

I hear ya Glen...I've learned my lesson. You notice I didn't post anything on the boat launch threads??? LOL. I'd have loved a nice clear pic of that first female, but since I knew she was being released, I quickly put her back in the water.

Hey...we walk around there in the dark...you callin us wierdos? LOL. Thanks for the reply....hehe

kemper's trout jigs! (check page two for rabbit jigs!)
ccmtcanada replied to kemper's topic in General Discussion
Awesome work Kemper! Those jigs will catch lots of fish for you I'm sure. Thing is....jigs at night really suck...LOL. I need stinky roe to catch them in the dark. Happy birthday....hope you had a great one! -
With the crowds on the weekends, Bly and I decided to skip fishing during the day and head back to our night fishing roots....and I'm glad we did! Got to our spot at around 8pm...waters were stained, but not too bad. By the end of the night, the levels had risen and the waters were muddy. We drifted for over and hour before my float goes down hard! I start the fight and I can tell by the weight on the line that it's a big one. This took a few healthy runs before it finally came in. It measured 33" (ties my PB) and felt like it was around 15 pounds...nice and fat female that was released. Apparently I have the GCD cursed camera...taking blurry pics!!!! Anyhow, after having a smoke and re-tying, I began drifting again. Second drift, the float goes down yet again! This one put up a nice scrap as well....taking off from one bank to the other and almost swimming right up on shore!! At around 10pm, the last fish of the evening came in...the smallest of them all, but by far the scrappiest fish of the evening! With the rain coming in the next 2 days, tribs will be blown, so I'll spend that time figuring out the settings on the camera! These pics really didn't do justice to how great they looked up close. All fish were released to swim another day.... Goodnight all...thanks for reading.

Great report! Great to see your success out there. Them fishies are slippery sometimes aren't they?? LOL.

Mine started as a cough (2 weeks)...that brought up all kinds of crap...then that stopped for a day or two and then the rest happened.

I had it leading into the Easter weekend. Lost 8 pounds. Stomach cramps for 2 days, fever, achy, couldn't get warm. Started on Wednesday...at first real food on Sunday....took Monday and Tuesday off work before feeling strong enough to spend a day at the office. It was a brutal one that's for sure. Even after you start feeling better, you have no energy. Hope everyone starts to feel well again soon!

eBay - top selling and buying by postal code
ccmtcanada replied to SlowPoke's topic in General Discussion
I've been buying from ebay for about 5 years now...off and on. I've only ever had one issue with an item not being shipped. I lodged a complaint with paypal, and after the waiting period was over, I was fully credited. Although not a perfect system, I think overall it works well. I've saved lots of money on things like fishing vests/pouches...it's crazy what they cost here in Canada. -
Congrats! Sounds like a nice little upgrade from the boat we borrowed from you last year!! LOL. Great stuff...looking forward to seeing pics and reading reports from Quinte!
-
You've got to be freakin kidding me....LOL. Amazing fish for the two of you!!! When I see you've posted a report, I never read it right away. I wait until the kids are in bed because I don't want to be interrupted when I read them. Fantastic report Luke...I felt the force all around me....the fish just couldn't resist!! My hobbit hands are shaking as I type this....those pike were bigger than me!

You forgot to tell the dogs didn't you?

Hey now...those are uhhh...solar lights...that's it....LOL. The net is all ready to go!

big steel on the jig, bad hooksets, and other shenanagins
ccmtcanada replied to kemper's topic in General Discussion
LOL...who asked you Glen??? jeez.... -
Hmm....when bly and I go for our fall walleye, we get skunked probably 4 out of 5 times we head out....but the payoff on days we hit fish is worth all that work! When I started targeting steelhead last winter, I went my first 6 times without a hook up....the next time I had a hookup but lost it....and it took CANADIANCOPPER to get me into my first few steelies.
-
You suck!!! LOL. Awesome stuff CC....you are still the boss out there!!!

Hey Kemper! I know exactly where you are talking about, but my little one has a birthday party in a few hours....as much as I'd like to join you, I may not live to see tomorrow if I took off now....LOL. Good luck out there!!!

Great stuff Steve! The fishing looked hot that's for sure!
