  1. I just got out of the plow truck... and all of a sudden I feel happy!
  2. Did they not bill Alberta for the time most of our crews spent out there last year? We had a slack year this summer for Ontario fires... only saw the helicopters go into our Temagami air base three times this summer, when usually there is a constant 2 or 3 almost daily. Never saw the MNR turbo Beaver this summer either out burning kerosene.
  3. Shut up... it's November! I have 36 days yet to start mine!
  4. Do you have a basement tap somewhere before the softner? I have one right on the pressure tank. So you could take a sample there.. and another after the softner and see what you get back after clearly marking which is which.
  5. LOL Al.. I just hope I never have to do mine! Besides.. it's guaranteed for LIFE ! Mine or the boats...
  6. Still have the chair... but not the hair!
  7. They are probably PT... cheaper for the mfg than marine. Noticed this summer that all the Legend pontoons are made with PT directly screwed down to the cross frame! Wrapped and stainless screws.. shouldn't be an issue. Depends on how many years you plan on keeping this boat. If it's like mine and it's my last boat 'till I die, it would be sealed marine plywood (and vinyl). If I planned to upgrade in the next 10 years it would be PT.. mind you at my stage in life.. based on my father's fate.. I might just go PT!
  8. Yep.. the old PT was fine.. the new stuff eats most anything and why all deck brackets got changed to stainless. If you can isolate the PT from direct contact of the aluminum, like wrapping the carpet around or a gasket material fine. You also have to question your attach screws...for the same reasons.
  9. You are supposed to take your sample.. PRE softeners or filters for sampling. Did you clean the testing taps spout with chlorine first... then run.. then get your sample?... and never set the test bottle lid down!
  10. And that might be just a dusting ....compared to some idiot that lives on the escarpement overlooking the "gap" !
  11. You wanna play with your winter tires... come on up... I'll even let you drive the plow truck for the next 3 hour round !!
  12. Took the only 8 and put them in a jar....
  13. Oh you can legally sell everything that you need for a meth lab in Ontario as well, just can't set one up! The unit is legal... buy one and carry Terry's letter from Peterborough.
  14. I've been plowing since Thursday.... time to move to Arizona !
  15. Yep.. total hub failure and if you hadn't of put it in reverse you'd still have the whole mess to see exactly how it failed! Reverse threw it off !
  16. Anybody seen my pick comb??? North York City Hall... Aug 1982... married my high school sweetheart.
  17. Yes Brian.. we discussed this last year. No different than a downrigging rod with the rod used to take up the slack when the release clip pops... IF that's how this one works. Who was it .. Rick?
  18. Is that an E flat harmonica Roy... does anyone have an Eflat harmonica?
  19. No plans to plow the lots either....
  20. LOL Entropy.. I just threw out my WORKING 26" RCA... that I bought at Krazy Krazy's in 1982 so we could watch Bugs Bunny in colour on Saturday mornings !
  21. I've had a Dodge up on blocks for years Brian!
  22. Here's a collage of my Mother. At the homestead North of Gooderham with a bear, rowing on Glamour (then called Little Bear) Lake and at 16 (1942) living at the Y in Peterborough with the Guitar she bought at Sears that year. I still play the same guitar.
