  1. If you are in the Kawartha's or North Durham, try Cable Cable. Less than $50 a month, 1 year contract, think it was about $100 to install the transiever and modem. I hate telecommunication bills and service, but love this company. Their office is in Fenelon Falls, and when you call their phone number you get someone in Fenelone Falls. Local people, great prices, and no cap. PM me if you are interested, I'll give you the name of the woman that served me, she was great. Entropy
  2. At home we have a CO2 detector with battery back-up. Is there one that you can buy that only runs on battery, for use in a hut, cabin, or tent? Entropy
  3. Is this Google Phone going to record and sell my information to tele-marketers? Does it 'log' the number I call? Entropy
  4. lol, that was refreshing.
  5. Thanks for sharing. I too need to get out with my Dad more, but with LIFE and kids it is difficult. Not right, nor the way life should be. Hope you get a few more of these days Thanks. Entropy
  6. Yellow? is you nickname fats?
  7. Just found this "red lanterns also gave the prostitution houses and streetwalker areas of the cities their nickname .... had to do with train crews leaving the lanterns by the front doors ..... " There goes the idea of hanging it outside, eh. lol
  8. Thanks, lots of good info there. With it stamped GSW would that still make it a Dietz? or is it a Dietz like design or licence? Entropy
  9. I says GSW Quality and Made in Canada on it. The red globe is cut glass, which leads me to think it is original, not an knock-off.
  10. Found this the other day. Another awsome score. Paid $6.00. Anyone know why they were made with red glass? Or, can determine the value of it. (other than $6, lol) Thanks, Entropy
  11. Here is a thread from another fishing site on the cost of living. http://forums.oodmag.com/showthread.php?t=29369 You might be interested in reading, some hydro related talk. Entropy
  12. The one south of Washburn Island was still there today, or a big pressure crack that looked like dark open water. Entropy
  13. If it is a shimano they will look after you, call them, tell them about breaking your rod with that muskie and how you lost it. Serious, they will look after you. Entropy
  14. 3600 lbs with the van 'empty' right. So put a 2500 lb package on and you still have room for more. Also I think the shocks in my van will 'load adjust' or level out the van after 5 min of driving. It does not have the air pkg, but does this some how. If you are pushing the limit for weight and driving further, you might think of a trany cooler, relatively cheap and good insurance. Entropy
  15. The last time I set one up was the last. And that was indoors in a gym, I could not imagine doing it on the ice in the cold and wind. Take it back. Or, was that a portable ice fishing tent? .... Ya I think it was, hope your hub style ground blind kind is better than that tent crap thing I tried a few years ago after my wife got it for me for xmas. .... ok, I'd better log off before she reads this. Good Luck! Entropy
  16. I launch and pull my boat out of the sand launch at View Lake, no problems, but I know what I'm working with and act accordingly. Just use it. Entropy
  17. You will be fine. I tow a 17' MirroCraft Profisherman loaded with my '06 Grand Caravan. I think it is rated for up to 3000 lbs, or as low as 1500 lbs with 4 adults and 'luggage'. Entropy
  18. Put me down for a 15hp outboard, I'll take one at 30% to 50% off retail. Seriously, someone make this work (not the outboard, but the idea). Entropy
  19. For $12 I bought a 12 v plug in heater. Have not used it yet, but my heat sucks, and a new core installed is about $800 plus tax. Head to princess auto with $12. I too thought about the propane heater idea, but then ran throught what could go wrong and would feel stupid explaining it to the police or insurance co. Entropy
  20. Hey there Entropy thanks for digging this up but at the time i was living in Niagara on the Lake. It says your from Scugog so i doubt that you would have found it.

    +++++++++++++++

    Was it on Hwy 11?

  21. I am on the east side. +++++++++++++ I saw some 'Steam Fog' coming off of some open water (just south of Washburn Island / well north of Ceasarea) today. Was the first time I knew what to call it, saw it the news report from somewhere else. Entropy
  22. Got out late yesterday afternoon. Only caught a few small perch. 6" of ice where I was. There were a number of huts going out with ATV's pulling them, as well as a few guys out with portables and toboggans. Hope to try this eve. Anyone else catching anything? Entropy
  23. No, I a wrong, you could do it. Just had to picture it. Guess I'm a visual thinker, eh.
  24. If they are in series, you will end up with 24v regardless of which battery you hook up to. You will be getting 24v. Wouldn't you need to isolate one of the batteries with some sort of isolator to only get 12v from a 24v series set up? Entropy
