I am aware of that. The odds are not in their favour though. When is the last time a team farther down in the standings won the lottery? Their best bet is to finish last and I can't see that happening.

There is absolutely no way that the Leafs will get McDavid. It would take a complete turn around by Buffalo and Edmonton and that isn't happening. The Buffalo fans have basically accepted him into their community, so there is no way they would trade that pick unless they want to face the wrath of the fans.

Sorry to hear that. I just can't believe the nerve some people have. See something sitting there and think that it's free for anyone to take. However, you reconfirmed that there are still fish in that lake. I was skunked the last time I went there in January.

I can see why no top flight players want to sign in TO as a free agent. It's a circus and they can make millions in other cities. It's going to be tough to rebuild and it looks like the draft might be the only way. Trading players for draft choices is their best bet. Hope their scouts are up for it.

They had their hands tied going into the cap era and the management still hasn't learned. Not much that can be done but show some more patience. I looked at their draft history over the last 20 years, hopefully the newer scouts can have a better showing. Not sure what they can get by making trades with playoff contenders during the season. Everyone wants something for nothing if they are in the playoff race. They can also stop giving out 7M contracts. There are only a handful of players in the league that are worth that and none are on the Leafs. Hey; whatever became of Luca Cereda?

What is Kane? Like 23. He still has a bunch of potential, they just might not be able to trade him at the deadline.

I think you will do better numbers wise if you go out of Gilford (Terry Goy) into Cooks Bay. Might be smaller, but there tends to be more fish. I saw a recent post of some doing well going out on Couch from Orillia. I think Trembley's rents huts.

I think other teams are licking their chops when they see the Leafs coming up in the schedule, which just makes it tougher for them to pull one off. Not sure how they are going to rebuild with the cap the way it is. There are no number 1 goalies available, so how do they get one?

I'm a die hard leaf fan and I thing Babcock would be crazy to leave Detroit. They will give him a decent contract.
