Well now Im a little bit ruffled, as I sit here at work kicking myself in the rear for not taking a week for the shottie the 3rd member of the Killer crew just called me and said he just dropped another buck this morning a little smaller number 2 is heading up now to help him drag it out of the bush, so tonight we will be cutting both of them up. damn I feel like the odd ball now....but its all good Peter pics to follow

Good Morning All Well we have been out almost every weekend since deer opener with the bows and have seen tons of deer we don’t use cameras and don’t write anything down. Just use the Mark180 eyeball and our pumpkins its always been this way. As far as scent hiding we don’t bother, tried it for a couple of years and found it didn’t matter I smoke on the ground and they will walk within feet of me. I think the scent hiding is a scam, and we hunt urban deer anyway it might work better for the northern guys. anyway all the deer this year so far have just been out of bow range and we wont take cheap shots. Some very nice bucks in the area with some serious size does. We knew that soon as the shottie time came it was going to be game over. I’m sitting having a smoke Tuesday just as the sun was making light, I was making some seductive sounds with the bleater. We were set up in a pattern that we observed to be main transits all of a sudden I could hear swishing in the bush behind me and knew that it was traveling one of the paths toward doom about 15 mins later and Pow a nice 10 pointer. We were done by 0830 2 tags left to go it was a good day and Pointed was very happy. We are setting up now on his big brother and I kid you not he has to be at least 16 points and pushing 300 but who am I kidding I will shoot the first deer that walks out if its him all the better That’s my report and im sticking to it Peter

Bump I hate to do this but this is a very big deal we are talking unimaginalbe vast quanties of water leaving a very old aquifer not to be usable again for many many many years they are going to remove a giant filter which keeps most of the rivers and drinking water clean. These are head waters and are very crucial for the survival of the water. 6.5 million litres a day to perpetuity just take a minute and work that out for 5 years and then multiple it out to 25 years its very scary. just trying to do my part Peter

Dont waste your time in the Lagoon I have been to the one your at and a couple of others on cayo the minute you get there secure a moped this gives you the freedom to go anywhere long shinny stick baits work fantastic every where i would go with 30ld black wire leaders one tray and a back pack you will not get terminal gear or even lures for that matter on the island very hard to come by and extremene low quality the locals are ultra freindly and like to fish the average joe in cuba does not own a boat there are some charters that take you out in whalers inshore bring some gear for a locals line leaders hooks and such I usually end up giving away a couple hundred worth of gear each time im there and have been rewarded with some great company and some fantastic shore fishing. Have a good time its a great island Dont be afraid lots of island to fish the moped will get you down to spots the locals only know about. Peter

Morning all So the last bird flys the coop for awhile we release him to the world tommorow and are heading to the Farther in laws cottage on Weslemcoon not taking the boat will have a 14 foot punter with a 9.9 no electronics. So the question is this the lake has lakers and bass not really interseted in the lakers they will be opportunity fish. so bass it will be . what would be your top 5 lure picks for this lake im going real light like 1 tray light but may pick up a couple of farkles depending on the picks CHEERS Peter
