  1. And just from personal experience the batteries in the bow take a serious beating even really secured
  2. Easy peasy you can do it unbolt the head slide it off the pistons get the serial number tell them to bore it out for a new set of over size rings to your pistons now put the rings on slide it back on bobs your uncle 2 strokes are easy and that’s not a complicated motor personally I’d run it for the season the way it is are you very confident with the pressure test seriously rings are not big deal all said and done 500.00 on the high side if you do it yourself that’s with the boring make a nice stand bring it inside or out and just do it get a good tear down manual lots online YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! Cheers Peter BringOnAnotherThousand

  5. Just move them the mom will pick them up or the coyotes will🤔
  6. there is a lot more involved then just catching, keep in mind these need to go live to be grown on farms on the other side of the planet a lot of money from the fishermen license holder goes into the infrastructure to keep them alive until the season ends and the buyers purchase think of a large scale salt water aquarium set up and as of late they have had to hire 24hr on site security to watch their buildings where they tank the elvers. its an unnecessary situation here that the Feds need to deal with properly
  7. Right form the get go I will say I have no skin is this game other then friends that are legitimately part of the fishery which is also a livelihood in the community I’m in . Please do your own research on this. because of the value of this fishery for the last while it has turned into the Wild West in terms of the black market end of things people are going to get hurt. the government has not done a thing about this enforcement wise .Nova Scotia has offered wardens to enforce this and the feds are not doing a thing except shut the whole thing down for another year while nothing is done look at it this way you halve just been laid off for another year you don’t get to collect anything because this is an ownership business and expected to recover year to year that is a very simple example to a very complex situation bottom line for me I guess and maybe you is do you support all the legitimate fisher people or not, should the government have the boots on the ground to enforce. The fishery should be open it’s a legitimate lively hood all said and done if you agree to this sign the petition and please pass this on to other fishermen there will be blood here soon it’s that bad!!! https://www.change.org/p/restore-1100-maritime-fishing-jobs-by-opening-the-legal-elver-fishery-in-2024?recruiter=3592750&recruited_by_id=2baed720-205c-0130-da9f-3c764e044346&utm_source=share_petition&utm_campaign=petition_dashboard&utm_medium=copylink cheers Biteme
  8. all i can tell you is this, transom cracks crappy wood pull always in the corners, look for a water line in the bilge means its holding water in the winter or taking water in season, look at the bottom of the motors check the skeg and lower unit for cracks or malformed, take the plug out of the bottom of both motors check the oil if its milky do this after you have had it running and put power to the gear box, bad seals and improper winterization , a compression test is good but you need a baseline number you can run this pretty quick with a cell phone and a serial number, enquire about the current owners winterization process. pull a plug two strokes are pretty reliable if looked after, pull the cowls off the motors and look for excessive hydrocarbon residue on the motor and low spots. and last but no least check every single electrical connection make sure it all works and get a set of bunny ears and run both motors not just for 5 minutes leave it running for at least 15 cycle the gearbox and increase the rpms. dont go in all excited if they see you do all this it gives you wiggle room on price play poker! nothing worse then separating from good money and nothing better then a good day in a reliable boat!!!!!!! Happy Fishing

  11. To get the money they get in these tournaments sure get the fast boat lures rods and reels but for electronics just a bottom view with a narrow spread and a gps Im all for watching it then ,evens it out a whole lot and would likely change the field drastically I know guys rigged in this way would have a shot at the big boys toe to toe with impressive results.I know in the local area one morning we put the boots to 3 boats that jetted in from Kingston to 16 mile and they were not happy i have always liked paper charts and a depth sounder. peter
