Cliff pretty much nailed it. The Liberals have proven to be to free with our money. The Conservativea care about only money and big business. They both lie routinely and make me sick. Regardless of the "Party" in charge, I feel that universal health care and education and environmental conservation should always be a priority. We live in one of the best countries in the world - a new immigrant can come to a beautiful land where their child actually has a REAL chance of making an excellent life for themselves. I hope that remains true in the future. I'm not sure that the Liberals or Conservatives are capable of maintaining the "Canadian Dream".

I agree that tourneys will be awkward to organize... Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course. That was just mine. My kid plays Lacrosse and loves to hit. He is 12. He would rather have contact. I can see that he will not be an elite player so I would rather he didn't. I put him into lacrosse to toughen him up and it is rough. Lol. He loves it. However, hockey is far more potentially dangerous when it comes to head and spinal injuries. The game is just plain faster Than it was when We played. There is far less room on the ice. On a side note, I would not like to see higher levels or pro hockey changed in any significant way other than I would like to see a bigger ice surface so that the super skilled players can work their magic a bit more. When I watch the Classic games, I can't believe how much more room and how much slower it was.

I personally agree with the GTHL's decision. A is not a highly skilled level of competitive hockey. These kids will not likely be playing Junior "Anything". There is no reason to include body checking when stats have proven that there will be a marked increase in head injuries as a result. These kids are going to need their brains when they leave hockey to become doctors, electricians, mechanics. I know too many kids/friends who have lasting concussion symptoms. Our main goals for these kids are to have fun, improve their skills and have them still playing the game as an adult.

The world is changing fast. Sometimes things like this bug me but overall kids are still awesome - I know first hand as I am a teacher. Things change - I try no to, (but sometimes still do), rant or go one of my monologues over these things cause it makes me realize I am turning into a grumpy old fart. It's not Basspro's fault that the Canaduan dollar has taken a dive. And yes - with the dollar where it is, buying in Canada actually makes sense again.

I think that a lot of the retailers just don't see it as worthwhile anymore. It's a lot of work for very little profit I have been told. It is definitely getting smaller every year. A lot of big name speakers and I liked checking out the boats andanufacturet booths. In the end, I bought nothing which sort of sums it up. I almost bought a couple of Mikes bauts but I have soooo many bucktails already I hung them back up on the shelf.

Gary2rs was so convincing that I want to change my vote now. The senko would likely be the winner in a two day one lure tourney. I just get sick of fishing them. You can do almost anything with them.
