  1. Hey Fisherman. What's your problem? I don't know you I don't think. That sounded like an insult aimed at me and yet we have never met or even interacted on this board . Are you buddies with Chronzy. If so, good for you for sticking up for him. If not, we are all entitled to share opinions on this site are we not? To clarify, I found his pontificating at the end of each show to be annoying.
  2. He is incredibly annoying. Thank god he is retired.
  3. Their blanks are nice and prices well. I have built three from them. Start with one of their kits as they will likely have good basic components for the blank. But if you live near a tackle shop that carries components then just get the bits and bites in town. Kingsway in Guelph has good rod building components so that's what I do.
  4. 1/3 of my St Clair muskies came on figure eights last summer. It is a great feeling. And there is a knack to it. That guy's figure eights looked a little sketchy but it worked.
  5. I did a lot of research. The Minn Kota get good stability and reliability reviews. That's what I went with a year ago. 2 bank.
  6. I hate that u can't choose your motor on many boats.
  7. U r correct most likely but I still enjoy going.
  8. Do they carry fishing equipment?????
  9. I like her style. Who gives a ?&$@ about that lowlife. Sounds like he has bigger problems anyways. I do not feel it's a publicity stunt. It's the hst way to punish this guy cause he likely won't care about some petty theft charge. Good for her. There's nothing fishy about this at all. Just using social media to fight back a. It.
  10. That figures. Lol.
  11. May be too good to be true but saw this today. Barely used 2013 Mec 150 4 stroke for $4500. If you are looking for a motor it is worth a call at least. 12. I may just save up for the Terrova as I have added a transducer and cable to mine which will likely snap of it spins too much!???
  13. Thanks everyone. Gonna add it to my V2 or just save up and switch to a Terrova next year.
  14. Pork pie- I appreciated your response. Thanks
  15. Debating adding this to my V2. How have people with the V2 liked the I pilot feature. How accurate do u find the spotlock feature and what other features do u use often and like? Thanks Landry
  16. There wasn't a whole lot available in 16-18' used aluminums this Fall. My friend was looking. The U.S. prices didn't seem that great either. The gap between US and Ontario pricing in used boats has narrowed a bit.
  17. I agree with Bill. I do miss those Credit and Bronte coho runs though. They were fun. Having said that I rarely steelhead anymore.
  18. Great teaser video. Maybe the best Canadian Fishing show - there is so much crap on WFN, Daves show is one of the few gems. I hear he is a great guy. Hope u r enjoying what u do for a living:) sounds like fun. Landry
  19. I agree with Bill. In some cases buying high end is a good choice. In others not so much but even a mid priced rod is sensitive with braided line. I think some people are easily brainwashed by marketing. Getting back to the jerkbait thread - a high end rid ain't gonna catch u more jerkbait bass BUT some people may enjoy using a high end rod more and so to them it is justified. I have mid and high end stuff and some older stuff. I like all my setups. I have two old quantum im7 rods that I wouldn't trade ever.
  20. I have lots of high end rods and the carbonlite are as sensitive as any out there. They are rumoured to break easily but I have three and they have been awesome. Plus they are $100. The guides are a light wire style but they have held up to braid just fine.
  21. I have a 6'9" carbonlite M spinning rod that is light and perfect for throwing jerkbaits IMO. No need to spend a ton of money on a jerkbait rod where feel is not as important as it is for other applications. Landry
  22. Right now our dollar is weaker and there isn't many good deals available on 16-18' aluminums in the states that my friend and I can find as he is looking.
  23. For pulling musky baits - high end reels DO make a huge difference. For bass and spinning reels - it doesn't matter IMO. I have found the shimano Citicard to be good bass baitcasters
