My only goal is to get out fishing more. I always have huge dreams about fishing here and there but time never allows it. So next year will hopefully be the year of fishing for me. Also to conquer downrigger fishing and learn as much as I can about it.

Been way to warm this year so far for ice in central ontario. We got a light bit of snow yesterday morning in Toronto, but it's warming up +6 today and supposed to remain there all week along with some rain. As for ice I think North of North Bay everything is freezing up well but no signs of it happening on Simcoe a for awhile yet. Hope your enjoying the nice weather down there. Mike

Nice fish guys. I was down in Port Maitland on Christmas day and the lake was dead calm. I was wondering how the fishing would be in the big lake this time of the year. Thanks for the report.

I'm with GaryV and will throw Leuenbergers name out there. I have been using them for the last 6 years now and will continue for a long time into the future. Great fishing and great value for the dollar. I've had 18 fly-ins over the years and you can't beat them. They are in the middle of upgrading there website now so it might be slow and incomplete. The wife and I were going to stop in this week but I couldn't stand the tought of the big crowds. We did however get over to LB's and managed to get alot of new fishing toys.

Funny I played hockey just yesterday against a guy still wearing the old cooper-alls.
