  1. A few years ago I spent some time on Baffin Island building a hospital up there, I took my pole and tackle of course as we were right on a bay and the Arctic Char were plentiful. About a week in I started having the same problem. My problem was I forgot to bring more line so had no choice but to untangle what was a freakin disaster of a birdsnest. After 2 or so hours of mind boggling magic I got it! Next cast BAM!! did it again!!!! Turns out I had a small nick in my spool cap some 220 grit wet, followed by a steel wool massage and I was back in business. Do a thorough check of your equipment I couldn't see the nick but could feel it with my fingernails when I rubbed across and that was all it took. Hope you get it all figured out. What kind of rod are you using? Maybe its too soft or hard for your casting style.
  2. I was on both sides of Sutton, Pefferlaw and Keswick and there is 15 to 18 inches in both...we drove our Minivan out as did numerous other people, so I'm confused why everyone is calling this guy Stupid? If I had to guess somebody out there probably didn't mark there holes and this poor bugger drove through them...There was plenty of ice. Heartless crowd already and winter has barely begun, damn hard water season!
  3. For the record a truck did go through in Sutton on Monday. But there were plenty of guys driving out where we were.

  23. Now I kinda hate to post this because I don't want every yahoo lurking uld have never guessed you would catch one where he did but as it turns out he sure did(didn't believe it at first but saw the pic and no doubt its a ski!!) Are they common in Lake O or did he get lucky? Can't recall ever seeing a post on it here about anyone actually hitting Lake O for them. I go out to the islands for pike a bit so I guess there"s a good chance of musky being there as well.
