  1. I'm assuming he got on a rabbit trail, and went for a run? Hope they find the little guy! I couldn't imagine what I would do if my dog go lost. She's dumb as a stump. Wouldn't last long out there.
  2. Great two peace. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9twobubGuqY&feature=bf_next&list=PL4102A7413006FFD2
  3. I use the XP for a work camera. They are supposed to be shock and water proof. I've never tested that theory. I had some issues with it yesterday. While taking pictures it had full battery, then I took an HD video, that the dead battery light started flashing. I would suggest a back up battery if you get the XP. As for the DSLR.. I use a Sony, but would not recommend it. It's a good camera, but the lenses are hard to find for it.
  4. I ask for that every Christmas!!
  5. Some good memories there I'm sure! Nice post
  6. Is that a tag? Or is that fish just really excited?
  7. Look around inside the boat for a box full of busted parts. If he hit something in the water to cause that damage, he likely would not be able to find the bottom end. If it was a trailering incident, I would think he would have grabbed the rest of the bottom end to scavenge parts.
  8. Well, maybe on second though.. She can join me.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLSttKymFmY
  9. Right on man! Good to see a post from you! Met you up at one of the Callander Bay G2G's a few years back. Haven't seen a report from you in a while.
  10. X3 on an excalibur re-curve cross bow. I have shot a few compound cross bows, but for the dependibily, and simplicity of the design, I would go re-curve. Also, for local companies, check these guys out. Personally never shot one, but I love buying local. I think most of their stuff is manufactured in the states, but they are a canadian company from Stayner Ontario. http://maximuscrossbows.com/ I think they make both Compound and recurve crossbows, and offer a lifetime warranty.
  11. I saw a guy last year driving around cooks bay in a pontoon boat chasing around and shooting at flocks of mud hens. :wallbash: No clue what he was doing..
  12. I have gone duck hunting many time and trolled back thry the walleye grouds for a little surf and turf.. well, not really turf, but close... The only boat you are allowed to shoot from while moving is a canoe. Anything else, you are in serious trouble. When I hunt from my boat, I don't get my gun out untill the motor is out of the water, and I am anchored with ZERO motion on the boat.
  13. Very nice! Congrats, that's a long time coming. Moose Chilli is hard to beat
  14. VHS? I talked to Lou before he sold the place a few years back. He said he didn't care if he made any money because he owned the building, and didn't have to pay rent. He just needed to cover the bills.
  15. She went back to school last year. The shop has been for sale for a while now. She doesn't want to pile up the inventory, then sell the business, and make cents on the dollar. (I'm guessing )
  16. What kinds of boots are they? If they are expensive boots, and worth the repair, then get them fixed. If they're el'cheapo boots, then toss them, and get new ones. There are lots of shoe/boot repair places around that can put a new sole on them for you. I have glue soles back on boots before using this stuff. I love it, use if for lots of things around the house. http://www.loctiteproducts.com/p/sg_g_tube/overview/Loctite-Super-Glue-Gel.htm Edit.. Just make sure you test the matierial first. That stuff will eat clean thru some materials. (like foam)
  17. Me too. I try to support the local shops. I've had a few morning coffee's with Penny. She's a good girl, but the selection there has suffered for sure. I've stopped in there on my lunch before and they where closed. So I decide to take a walk around lake shore, and sure as , there's Penny perching at the marina.
  18. Good stuff BB. You two must be getting a pretty excited about the up-coming season! Make sure you post a report with your success.
  19. Oh man, his posts has got me a little pumped for fall-eyes. I won't be able to make it out for another 2 or 3 weeks though. Keep the reports comming!
  20. When I lived in Barrie, I also had 0 signed properties. It is so much easier to get persmission when you live in the neighbourhood. I knocked on a lot of doors. Was well prepared with maps of the properties printed, and permission forms waiting to be filled out. It also helps when you can mention things like "I drive by here twice a day on my way to work", or "Hello, I'm Nick, your neighbour two doors down". Etc.... Since I moved in to the bush, I have only been denied hunting access three times. 1 already had an exclusive hunter on this property, and the other 2 are Anti hunting / Anti guns.
  21. Maybe one day I will have permission to hunt the Irishfield Compound!!
  22. Welcome aboard! How has the fly fishing been this year? lets see some pics!
  23. I haven't been out yet. Hope to make it out for a bit Sunday morning. I've been seeing lots of tracks. I and I have a doe tag. So hopefully the freezer gets filled this year. My hunting properies have grown to over a 1000 acres now. So if I don't get anything this year, it's entirely my fault
