  1. Come on now Fisherman.... There's no good hunting in Temiscamingue
  2. Well the Ice only cracks when its forming. She must be good to go!
  3. I'm very surprised he came out on the ice.. I always thought they would never venture out on thin ice. Specially with out any safety gear. That cop was just plain stupid in my opinion...
  4. These Wilcraft adds make me laugh, I have a feeling this has been posted before.
  5. Slick! Thanks for sharing.
  6. Brute! Congrats man!
  7. Right on man! My fishing buddy just started ice fishing with a similar reel. He love it. I'm thinking about rigging one up. How do you like it?
  8. Good luck Pete! I just dumped 40 lbs in 4 months. Proper sized portions of food. Run 5 to 10 km per week. Drink lots of water. That's how I did it.
  9. Congrets man! My 4 month old is screaming his head off right now.......
  10. I can not edit a post using the standard editor. When I try to save my changes, it just sits idle. I have to go in to the full editor and the click the "submit modified post".
  11. Well I just tried to edit the post above. But I was not able to save my changes unless I went in to the "full Editor" and saved them with that. Weird.
  12. All good for me so far. Only logged in on one of my 4 usual devices though... So we'll see. I do like the new format!
  13. Very nice to see! Can't wait to read it.
  14. That's a great report man!! Love the Bravos. I have a short track, and it will go anywhere. The long tracks are unstoppable! Looks like it's in great shape too! Congrets on the successful outing!
  15. Good to see you hit your limit! I can't wait to hit Simcoe this year!
  16. Thanks Limey! I've had my finder for a long time. It was Livinisfishing who got the new gear. I think he's starting to figure it out. A 343C. There are a prefect little unit for the ice
  17. Sure thing! We might be done with them for the year though. Walleye this weekend coming. Back lake spec adventure the next. Then I'm really hoping the following week will be Simcoe whities. Maybe in the spring!
  18. They can be tough to figure out. I've been skunked many times on G-bay. Thanks Brian! And thanks to all you other folks that checked out my report!
  19. Right on Brian! 4 slabs like that size is a perfect meal!
  20. I finished off the deer hunting season unsuccessfully with my final hunt on Newyears Eve. Newyears day - On to a new season! HARDWATER!! Made plans with fellow board member Livinisfishin and headed out for some Crappie new years day. Iced a few perch, moved around a lot. No Crappie. Nice day though! Figuring out the new electronics Saturday morning I found some early G-bay ice. Was hoping for pike or walleye. Skunked on my morning spot. Head to the evening spot to check the ice there. It was sketchy getting on the ice, but once on, 4" of solid clear ice. This picture was 1 shot with the spud. The while cracking is the bottom of the ice. I tiptoed around, spudding holes all over place looking for the depth I had stuck in my head. Started to get close to the depth, and right away was lifting perch. Moved a few more times till I got right on it.. Then Wham! First drag scream of the year! And with the ice so clear, I had a great view of the fight! 22" Smack on the top of the slot.. So that was a great moment. Followed by a BAD moment when I walked back to my gear and perch rod about 75 yards away only to find that my rod, reel, and rod holder where snatched by a big fish, and ripped down the hole.... :wallbash: Sunday I met up with Livinisfishin again. We're really craving the crappie now. A crappie skunk to start the season. It was time for redemption! Went a little further north this time. The ice was very sketchy. The hole claimed another victim! When my fishing partner went to drop in his transducer, and his cell phone fell from his pocket smack in the center of the hole.. Down she went! Took a lot of moving around to get them. 30' of water. Minnows. Ended the day with 4 around 10" and another 8 in the 6-8" range. I'm eating them as I type!!
  21. Thanks Brian. I was going to call her to see if she had minnows. Saved me looking up the number.. It's to bad to loose a local business. But the store rarely had the things I needed.
  22. NICE. If Kemp is starting to lock up, then the rest of the lake should be starting to be in good shape!
  23. Great day for sure!
  24. Be careful Alex. Like the others have said. Thin ice in Simcoe and strong winds. We don't want a repeat of the ice rescue like what happened last year.
