Deer creek conservation area is on the list ! I'm really amazed by that. Haven't seen one in 10 years there but ill certainly be on the lookout now. That is awesome!

Is it still complete drought? I was there 2 weeks ago and the water levels looked to be down almost 6 feet. There was nowhere in the reservoir my electric wasnt almost right on bottom the whole time. The fishing was okay, but that was a tough boating experience, and a launch i wouldnt do again without another foot of water.

There's so many problems with gopros its not even funny. Nice fish sir.

Whatever Happen To The Thrill Of Fighting A Fish For Sometime?

Use the lightest equipment for the job, always a good idea. 99% of the places I fish pretty much require braid or heavy mono though. Weedbeds, logjams, laydowns, stumps, pads and 4-6lb LMB your 6lb test wouldn't get the lure to the boat, let alone land a fish. If I had crystal clear, obstacle free water all the time and big fish were not so common, id be tossing the ultra lights for sure. -
My rapala baitcaster's sideplate never locked properly, and would click and unlock while fishing which completely turned off the brakes. Next cast, backlash. 7 outings, it lasted. My gf's rapala spinning reel (xrap) seized up after being dropped at the riverbank in a centimetre of water. I wouldn't recommend rapala reels. The rods have held up so far, but were terribly mismatched with the reels on their respective combos.

Spinnerbaits id say are like in the top 3 standard bass or pike baits.

If with 30lb braid you feel you're just dragging bass in you aren't catching big bass. -
That time of the year the fishing should be great. Throw big baits with blades and cover lots of water. Nothing is too shallow at that time.

Its fun for carp. Thats about all id handicap myself on though by needlessly using the wrong tools for the job. -
I see people breaking those laws often in the spots you mention. Whitemans being the worst.

Thanks for the tips. Was mostly thinking shield eyes as thats where i fish them most often. I always seem to find and catch walleye rather quickly.. But rarely are my quick fish a size even worth mentioning. I guess i need to read up a little more on walleye. Lol

As long as the wind isnt reaaaallly bad..... Ill be out!
-
What in your experience was your best technique for big walleye? I've always jigged for them the majority of the time with some flatline trolling mixed in, but am looking to expand my horizons on how to catch them.

It's just the PC dry rub seafood seasoning. I actually love it .. Particularly on trout, salmon and channel cats done in the oven. Mmmmmmm Thanks everyone for your kind comments. And moosebunk.... ONIONS or KAWARTHA DAIRY?! Lol

Some idiots deciding to swim at a hydro dam ruin it for the majority of human beings, who are equipped with common sense. Seems like the norm.

No stocked (clipped) trout here.. At least i've never caught one. All naturals, even the specks.

What a summer. With the drought and heatwave, the one bonus was, there always seemed to be time to fish. Fished some brutal hot days, but for the majority me and my girlfriend kept cool with our feet in the Grand River. Through the summer, I fished sections from Kitchener, all the way to Dunnville. And not one of them is a "bad stretch". Maddie's PB! My buddy Rob with a nice Grand River pike My buddy Derek with a nice one, also from the Grand And the biggest I've ever caught in the Grand, but boy have I seen some biggies! Summer became a little more mobile when I purchased an inflatable boat. It fits in the trunk of the car, yet takes an electric motor, tons of gear, 2 batteries, 2 fisherpeople.. I love it. Wish I had it all my life, really. It`s so convenient. And setup & takedown don`t really take all that long. From there on out it was mostly big bass on the agenda. And while I only caught a few true hawgs, I sure did catch a LOT of decent bass this season. It was a great summer, even on the worst of days, for bass fishing. And a few other mix-ins from the days we WEREN`T bass fishing. Rob with a beauty brown, caught while carp fishing the backyard And finally, Rob and I joined forces again recently to put a whooping on some bass, and Rob did all the whoopin` this time. Featuring his main event, I`m pretty sure it was his PB and the best part is it gave us a topwater show when it ANNIHILATED his buzzbait, coming over a stump. What a perfect morning scene that was. Hope you enjoyed, and hope everyone`s fall is hawg-filled and safe.

That bass looks BIGGER than the weight you posted! Lol Great job, all nice bass!

Could have been a crappie depending on what stretch you were fishing. Used to get the odd one in the brantford stretch .

Casting on those bubbles is the best way to get em! Good job, nice fish !

Holy duckboat! Thats a behemoth!

I used zip ties, and the handle off an old swiffer sweeper. I bought a $5 clamp and clamp it to the side of my boat, or just drop it down for a sec if just to check depth. Works pretty good, i must say.

Been catching some from shore recently in dover. Shouldn't be much of a ride to get to em right now.
