  1. I use a 10 footer with my centrepin. I dont often fish large rivers, so it works just fine
  2. Would be better if someone just caught him poaching the fish though. How many other fish did he give away before he got the genius plan to sell roe online? He must have a lot, to keep up with online demand. The point is, we need the co's on the water to stop this ridiculousness before it starts.
  3. Double on the shrimp.. works wonders!
  4. The problem starts with the buyers? Investigations? Its some salmon eggs, not a heroin smuggling ring. Lol i wonder if they'll bust the guys door down, toss flash grenades and point m16s in his face. And while a ridiculous amount of resources are being used to stop a guy selling his eggs, we can cry about a lack of CO's on the rivers.
  5. Bass baits for steelhead is not unconventional in the slightest if you have ever downrigged the big water. If they eat 12" shads in the lake do you really think all they want is a microscopic sack of eggs?
  6. Cell phones are registered to the person using them, similar to the gun registry. And pointing out idiots with cell phones does not prove that they are evil or useless. It proves a lotta people are evil (stupid) and useless.
  7. Not talking about that dam. Since deconstruction, the bows easily jump that dam naturally now. This one is fed by a mill pond and is insane with snaggers.
  8. The guy lifting his fish said 20 yrs ago they were able to hop the dam, they rebuilt it in the late 80's and it became too high for the fish to traverse... So i dunno!
  9. The only float rod i ever owned that didnt blow up at some point was a quantum cold water i bought for 45 bucks at caledonia b&t.. good luck with your replacement but i agree with kemper, replace if you can afford it!
  10. Is it legal to catch a steelhead below a dam and release it into the sanctuary waters upstream? Provided the seaaon is open where you caught the fish, of course. Always wondered. I have seen others do this in the fall at some local dams and always figured it was a good thing, but saw two guys get into it last time, one screaming that it was illegal and the man who caught the fish must keep it or release it precisely where it was caught.
  11. "Getting by without it" is always possible, sure. But calling 911 works better and 6 hours faster than smoke signals.
  12. Im sure many are, i didnt mean it to argue, just saying not all telemarketers are the mob .. though our government is just organized crime anyway so whats the difference. Lol
  13. I browse OFC almost exclusively on my smartphone. It pays to dish out the big bucks for a good one. This phone does everything. Pinpoint navigation, anywhere. Constant links to emergency services. It takes crystal clear photos, and hd videos. Never forget the camera and lose the proof of your big catch! Lol.. i do not like texting however i have voxer app, so i can walkietalkie any of my friends or family for free, anywhere in the world. Did i mention i browse OFC flawlessly with it, all day? Lol thats gotta be a selling point.
  14. Pc recipes to riches - sweet thai asian carp
  15. You would be surprised how many internet providers are run by organized crime though!
  16. I used to work for a telemarketing agency as well. It was very legit, excellent training, and good money. I really regret leaving that job, actually. So i think you may be biased in your judgment.
  17. Theres a flock of 7 in the field beside my work every fall.
  18. A fish that feeds on algae and plankton must have edible properties though, right?
  19. Water is so low its ridiculous!
  20. Dare i ask why either of those groups would be guising as telemarketers and called citizens at random?
  21. Well I chose wisely apparently.. hit a local trib and landed my PB steelhead on a musky buck! Gotta love fall.. next time some pike will get a piercing
  22. Bottom bouncing with the pin is almost MORE functional than float fishing. Precision drifts without an annoying float to hinder hooksets.
  23. Pretty sure the seasons closed up there..
  24. Nice! Im surprised you dont hear about this a little more. I got one much smaller on an erie trib, bottom bouncing a roe bag when i was younger. And a few friends have had similar experiences, even in some very small creeks. Very cool.
  25. Yeah as i said, slackwater pools. A dead spot or whirlpool, with some matted surface weeds.. Never seemed to fail. One area in brantford i caught 3 from behind a stump in a 3x3 pool.
