hey, strike when the sales are on. I got 25lbs of double smoked (a case) for less than 20 bucks. Blowout deal.. gotta love it. I got enough prime rib to last the ice age too. Lmao -
Good job man! Well have to trib hunt together this fall. Haven't seen you since rob played WWE on the electric fence. Lmao As for eating the floaters... I dunno. I've heard you can't to anything to make em taste good. But if you can smoke a sheephead to be edible I guess anything is possible. Lol

Man, I'm not trying to be rude or dispute you, but my gf and her family are all on that diet. Really bad skin runs rampant, fatigue is constant, heart racing or extreme low blood pressure... I dunno. Everythings okay in moderation is more my motto. I'm not trying to bash your diet, just sayin I've seen it do some pretty bad stuff to people. Obviously you take it serious and keep your proteins, vitamins and carbs in check. All diets require supplemental adjustments. You can't ignore the nutrients that are in wheat and the fact that they must be supplemented in other forms, that's all. I really wasn't trying to offend or start an argument. If it works for you, more power to you! -

Its not the fat, the sugar, or the salt hurting you. Or even the wheat products. Its the additives. -

The price of bacon has gone up $2 / lb. Of course, so has the price of chicken livers. Pigs can eat anything. That's kinda their thing.. -
I love how WGSF is still being called that. Haha! Worm harnesses and a lotta slow trolling worked for me.. but not very well.

Everyday.. I can't handle not fishing!

My buddy lives in peterborough for school and said he's been getting tons of gobies in little lake (ottonabee) and that's above lock 19.

If the rivers connect, the pike are in every branch. Slack pools is what you need to remember, not specific areas. Cuz they are everywhere in that system.

Your net is too small. Therefore your fish doesn't count. (Lol) What a beast! Congrats! -
If they are in dorchester, thamesford, woodstock and they bite the aforementioned techniques, then common sense would have us think they also exist in the london stretch and maybe the techniques mentioned would work there too. For instance, nobody told me specific spots or cheat codes when I went this summer. I just fished it as if I was fishing the grand. Lo and behold, a river is a river and a pikes a pike.
-
We got 6 bass, 6 pike when we were there. Missed at least a dozen pike. 1 bass on a buzzbait. All other fish on white or chartreuse spinnerbaits.
-
Anywhere there is a slack pool, no matter how small the pool. I did well on the thames this summer with spinnerbaits for pike. Seemed every little dip had one. I was a little east of london in some real skinny water.

I think they still spawn every year, but as brian says, switch tribs every 4 years (so ive heard) but last year i talked to a guy who showed me pics from this particular trib of a similar morning he had in the same spot. So maybe theres a year or two more of a short pink run to come!
-
I've lived here 15 years and heard tales of the pink salmon run the whole time, but never seemed to catch it. Me and my girlfriend were driving around aimlessly a few days ago and I had the idea, let's go check for salmon activity at all the local tribs. The first 4 spots were motionless. We fished them, a little. Not even the finest offerings of a beautiful live nightcrawler could tempt much but some suckers. The final spot, was like heaven for me. I got to my spot which is right at the mouth of the creek pretty well going into the lake. The lake was real rough so I had to go slightly upstream to check, sure enough, the pinks were running. Very beautiful fish in the water, you don't even see that they have a hump on their back. All I had was a Mepps Musky killer for spinners, I don't salmon fish much. And all I had was a 6'6 baitcaster (bass rod) spooled with 15lb mono. Figure I'll try it, and the hoardes of unsuccessful snaggers upstream dropped their jaws when I hooked and landed 5 in a row, that absolutely smashed my spinner on the surface. These fish were exciting when they bit, but all I can say is I was well able to handle them just fine with my bass rod. Thank goodness I didn't run into a school of spinner-hungry kings, I'm sure I would have been spooled. The pinks were great. Fight similar to a big pike. Everybody tells me (even the snaggers... why are they snagging?!) the pinks around here are worthless for eating. So I released each and every one. Was awesome to finally experience the pink salmon run. Which according to stories, sorry folks the run lasts about 5 days. The bows, browns and chinooks (which are considerably smaller and fewer than lake O) will be up soon. Can't wait. And to tickle the trib bug's taste buds, I was at another local trib last week with a live worm on a hook, low and behold I got a little male brown. Thought at first must be a resident fish but it had a kype jaw... I have resident browns in my backyard and have never seen such a pronounced kype in similar sized fish.

They are still actively used tracks so I wouldn't recommend fishing from them...
-
Unfortunately after they pay their 200 dollar fine they'll be back with a bit of sponge on their hook instead
