  1. What would you do if you had the choice today? Deadbaiting for big fall pike, or trib walking for a big rainbow? I cant decide. Lol
  2. And i got them in every stretch from kitchener to york. Didnt get any in cayuga or dunnville this year, but i barely fished those stretches.
  3. The pike fishing on the grand for me was exceptional this year. Almost no fail. Every slackwater pool no matter how small seemed to have a pike in it. Never did get any big ones but many in the 20-32" range. Spinnerbaits.
  4. I feel my post may have been harmful enough without naming locations. My last visit there actually disgusted me. Snaggers, trespassers and 3 people fishing directly in the sanctuary. The mnr used to be all over this spot, my how things have changed.
  5. The water is low. They are in the deepest holes around. They don't have free reign over most holes like most years.. but the bright side is... they're concentrated.
  6. But... like... you could, either way... right
  7. I hear those types like to party.
  8. This should more be a signal of what the water contamination is doing to US.
  9. Awesome guys! Sad i missed that.
  10. I wouldn't worry. We'll be out of fresh water by then anyway.
  11. Yeah, for real.. unfortunately a couple dozen will feed your plants for a season so its not really a viable way to wipe gobies out.. but at least they're useful for something!
  12. Hey guys those gobies are great fertilizer, as they decompose they do not stink all that much and feed plants like miracle grow!
  13. The only reason the salmon on worms was a surprise to me is because I've never had one take a worm personally, and I grew up salmon fishing in the hammer. Turns out, after the last few days I've learned, worms are truly the worlds universal bait!
  14. Aspartame, sucralose and other artificial sweeteners were developed by drug companies, as antidepressants. Sweetness was an unexpected side effect. When the antidepressant was too mild for the prescription market, they sold it to the food sector. Now theres a million obese , angry people addicted to diet pop and chewing gum. Margarine, an artificial product was originally invented as a cheap way to fatten turkeys for production. It was found that it actually made turkeys lose precious pounds... so it was instead marketed as the healthy alternative to butter. Todays fun facts.
  15. Its too bad they don't get to 6lbs. They'd be a lot of fun then. Lol
  16. Another day, another worm fed salmon. Was gonna try a simple net across the river approach, but settled on the earplugs as the worm fishing slowed down.
  17. Thanks, that's incredibly condescending.
  18. Nice fish! Not all salmon do the same thing at the same time. I got one on a swimbait at the end of november last year, when they should have all been dead. Ya never know.
  19. Was out last night at what is usually an early rainbow run, dragging live worms. Hooked & lost a 4-5lb brown, then me & my buddy hooked 4 chinooks in a row in the mouth, with worms on the bottom! Is this normal? I have never seen chinooks take a live worm, spare the ones being flossed.
  20. I've seen one beef loin in 6 years come in with a tumour, and it was on usda select striploin portions. Butchering has changed drastically for the better in the last 10 years. And by the way, when it happened we had to scan the product out of our database, take pictures and immediately report it to the processing plant to gain a credit.
  21. Atkins clinical science killed a lotta people too.
  22. Egyptian kings ruled at an age of 12 most often. If they werent assassinated, they died of old age, usually around 20-25. If im "dying" for an extra 60 years, thats fine. Sounds like more of a depressed slant from a personal perspective, but i havent googled enough psychology to assess yet, i suppose.
  23. Yeah. Also no bombs, guns, world wars, superviruses, and much better air/water quality. So unless every person on the planet died of a broken limb, that makes no sense. Many people live to 60+ having never seen a doctor in their life. Good argument, but i think starvation and malnutrition were the documented main culprits of a short life span back then. I might not have googled a lot of nutrition articles, but i do know ancient history.
  24. Then why are we living 60 years longer on average? 60 years is a conservative estimate.
  25. Everything.. everything we eat, has a negative impact in some way, shape, or form. If you want to diet, good for you. If others choose not to, that's their choice too. I still firmly believe the best diet going is the common sense diet, but its alll opinions from people who eat. Nothing more. And our "core base" diet argument could be disputed with devolution. I mean, there was a time we ate raw animals we killed, and various berries we could gather. That doesn't mean it was the right way for humans to eat.
