  1. Lol .. great report and thread.
  2. Very nice fish! I'm sure he'll be wanting to go again now!
  3. Thanks steve! Starting to wonder why I keep posting reports here. Better off with a thread discussing hockey or fillet knife sharpening to get some interest going. Lol
  4. Congrats Shawn! You always OWN that place!
  5. Thanks Roy! Fish or no fish, I never want to leave.
  6. Had big plans to hit a new lake, big boat, on thursday we havent been to this year. Got all the stuff ready then buddy txts at 6am he only has til noon to fish. After the usual slow start we decided to hit a local 'backyard' pond instead with the inflatable. It ended up we had three hours to fish. Buddy was just slamming fish on a mini buzzbait for the first hour or so. I thought I was having a lapse of bad karma as my full size buzzbait only caught two very small bass. Two hours into the day I've had enough and say lets start flipping the offshore deeper weed beds. Drop a flippin jig into a hole and instantly get a 1pounder. Maybe I have the ticket now! Well no, bites were slow .. almost non existent. With about a half hour to go I flip my jig into a pocket in 12 fow and it sinks about 8 inches and stops . I go to rip my bait out of the weeds and it shoots off sideways, fish on! A short tussle and I was very surprised when this fish surfaced beside the boat. That's the third fish over 5 I've landed this year, I got a horseshoe stuck somewhere I prefer not to mention I think!
  7. On the area you were fishing the muskies are very close together, where the predominant food/ambush points are. Can be typical of river muskies.
  8. I change mine to my inflatable boat. Love it.
  9. I'd use ratchet straps instead of bungee cords and a rope.. I would likely attach the straps to the ringlets on the cupboard doors, unless your boat has holy crap bars on either side.. if so pretty obvious where to attach the chair!
  10. 6th is trailer brakes as said. If your boat isn't 5000 lbs you shouldn't need them though.
  11. White spinnerbait.
  12. Lol... Its a great lake. It's got a whole lot of productive shore fishing. Ignore those that got skunked there before and blame the location. Make no mistake, its a fish factory with bigger smallies than anywhere else has to offer.
  13. You enjoyed the best of what Ontario has to offer! Good luck and good wishes on future enjoyments of another great province.
  14. Good ... Hope thats not what it takes though, hopefully they have better management. Best of luck to ya.
  15. You've inspired me to walk the creek downstream of the ponds in my backyard. Bass and pike in the ponds, but I saw a nice bow take a fly at the dam the other day and that's a long creek. Now I gotta try it!
  16. Ooh, I dunno how it works at BPS but at my store that means they filed it under 'trash' lol
  17. Knew I shouldn't have moved! Lol
  18. I have no information, just wanted to give props on such a nice gesture. Good on ya!
  19. Use a jighead. Works great.
  20. Totally slackin on pledges, i gotta get this stuff in order! Time flies. Looking forward to the event. Gonna do an Action Angling episode of it to share with OFC afterward.
  21. I can attest to never letting go below 50%.. have had two spiral cell nautilus batteries that are amazing after two seasons using this method.
  22. There are smallies to be caught all along the shore of Lake O.. early mornings seem to be more productive. Good luck
  23. I might be naiive here, but how would anything that lives in water survive being dried up on a trailer anyway?
  24. Bows on the decline, salmon collapsed.. nature always puts something to replace whats gone.. now you've got a brown factory! True beasts there, nice! I cant get over the snow on the ground. Yesterday was so hot down here I wanted to rip my skin off and jump in.
  25. Hey looks like you and your family got into some nice fish and had a great time, thats what its all about! I like the vibrax spinner you chose. Have caught everything from trout to musky on them.
