  1. Locking up those that don't quarantine or isolate , then last night I see some politician calling for releasing non violent offenders from prison early to reduce the spread in that system, we are being governed by idiots.
  2. Michaels Craft Store carries this, my wife uses it for crafts and I know that some guys use it as a rod winding finish as well. https://www.eti-usa.com/envirotex-lite edit: i see it is also popular as a high gloss finish coat on handmade crankbaits
  3. Grabbed some yeast during the Tues morning seniors hour at Superstore, had some flour, going to dig out that old bread machine to save some exposure to the outside world. Used it for years but got lazy, mostly used the dough setting and bake in a bread pan in the oven, never liked the hole that removing the paddle left, looked like a rat chewed it's way into the loaf. Now to find the old recipes I liked.
  4. I see netflix is lowering video quality to reduce bandwidth, seems the problem is pretty widespread with everyone staying at home. https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/netflix-reduces-video-quality-in-canada-to-lower-internet-bandwidth-use/ar-BB11Lsw6?li=AAggFp5
  5. specifically mentions the Canada-Eh story https://www.dawsoncreekmirror.ca/dawson-creek-news/tim-horton-s-says-they-re-victim-of-a-hoax-1.24106754
  6. Hoax , fake news
  7. Run an ethernet cable rather than use wifi.
  8. Retirees, living off investments are paying now. Still got almost half a tank from a Feb 13th Costco fillup , I liked the the higher prices better. Going out even less lately.
  9. Hardwire your android box or whatever you use for streaming, Cyberflix is the app my wife uses right now to watch her shows and we found that a Real Debrid account gives a lot more links and better ones without buffering, worth the 20 bucks every 6 months.
  10. Only in Quebec , you say https://www.esquire.com/food-drink/drinks/a14498062/pbr-99-can-case-canada/
  11. Limited time, isolation packs
  12. At that age that errands count as going out, gas is way down but still got 1/2 a tank left over from last month 🤣
  13. Yeah, wife got an email from OCS saying her meds will be at the post office for pickup, hope I can get them for her, she has lung issues and is not going out, at all till this is over.
  14. would this work ? https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07K48HYZR?tag=dradisplay0c-20&ascsubtag=bc0b9209750150f23fd159dbdbd532d5_CT
  15. OMG, this kid has got the Hank Marvin look and sound down pat.
  16. Coronavirus is going to bankrupt more people than it kills.
  17. What the heck one more from the same concert
  18. When people of my generation talk of the great guitar players of the 60's , this guy doesn't get mentioned near enough, one of the first to use a Fender Strat. A young looking almost 60 here and still impeccable playing
  19. Been a few robins here all winter but this morning I heard my first Red Wing Blackbird and a few Grackles are back too
  20. Yep, great lakes troller here , farther forward the better, that front platform was just a handy place to store a big cooler and the front seat hole in the floor a place for a planer board mast
  21. Reminds me of the controversy of a record Rainbow, an escaped triploid in Lake Diefenbacher , years ago. Some stuff needs to be disqualified. edit: https://www.outdoorcanada.ca/lake-diefenbaker/
  22. They have these safe injection sites where druggies can shoot up with fear of prosecution , maybe they could have an abandoned warehouse where the gangs could go to shoot it out and settle their differences without endangering the public, heck , they even supply free needles to the druggies maybe they could give free ammo to the gangs to help increase the body count.
  23. Heard it said, maybe 30 years ago in the US, if the FBI was really serious about getting rid of the drug problem, the next time they grab a big shipment of drugs they would lace it with cyanide and let it back out on the street, simple supply and demand, no users ->no dealers. On the gun crime thing, since the 70's I was involved in protesting useless gun control, one figure that always stood out was 51% of murderers were previously known or had records with the police and 49% of victims also had records, probably not too different today, bad guys shooting bad guys.
  24. They forgot to mention the Moon River Basin, back in the 70's a guy I worked with, won the old Molson's Big Fish Contest with one at 17 and change. Lot of big ones in the top ten from the Moon River back then.
