  1. That is so true.
  2. The law of political correctness prevails , at least he didn't wear blackface.
  3. is that the stuff with PCB's and Dioxin in it, there was a couple of drums of that in a locked room where I worked with a sign, they couldn't get rid of it , NOBODY would take it !
  4. Lot's of big muskies recently on the " FishIn Niagara " facebook page out of the Niagara River.
  5. Bunch of them in the upper Niagara River at the other end of Erie as well. Heard of a few being caught in Gravelly Bay at Port Colborne as well.
  6. I grew up navigating the one at the QEW and 20 Highway in Hamilton going back and forth to U of T, I believe we had another on the QE in Niagara Falls back then getting off to go to the Rainbow Bridge.
  7. Bring Kadri back 😉
  8. Showing Fahrenheit and Miles here 👍
  9. Spend more time fighting tackle than fish, for what ? getting your limit in 2 hours rather than 3 🤣
  10. HOA wouldn't let him park it in the driveway.
  11. Wasn't there a few Wipers caught in Lake Ontario a few years back ?
  12. My wife does a lot of various crafting, she uses Amazon prime, usually here next day, a LOT CHEAPER than Michael's.
  13. There was a bunch when Solopaddler still posted here.
  14. I got one of these for my shortwave radio hobby from China on EBay, $45 US cost me $60 Canuck and got it in 12 days, everyone says they work as good as the 3-4 C note similar items made in the US and I concur. The screen shot is me receiving and decoding a weather fax from New Orleans on my software defined radio. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/MLA-30-100kHz-30MHz-Ring-Active-Receive-Antenna-Low-Noise-Medium-ShortWave/283557477378?hash=item420557bc02:g:Au4AAOSwOPldNsST
  15. No different than shopping at Dollarama or CTC's own brands.
  16. I had an 80's 18 foot Sylvan , identical to the Starcraft of that era.
  17. Kinda strange about Smokercraft hull failures, I always thought that Smokercraft, Sylvan and Starcraft all started with the same hull ?
  18. You have to remember it was in the urban metroculture of Toronto , probably soccer would be bigger than hockey there as well.
  19. Yeah, buddy bought an early Crestliner welded about 1990, that is exactly how it failed, immediately adjacent to the weld, luckily he was a welder at Dofasco with a string of tickets and took it to work on the offshift and repaired it with the proper gear as warranty would do squat, he pounded it pretty hard offshore Lake Ontario. It was an open 16 with a tiller and he sold it to a duck hunter for marsh work.
  20. Any chance you have the time and ability to rebuild the Smokercraft, new floor and transom, carpet, vinyl etc? I ran an 80's 18 ' Sylvan , likely the same hull, it's a good hull but you would want to upgrade the motor to 115 anyways, it would be a bit of a dog with a 70. The max on that hull was 140 horses. You be dollars ahead, insane prices on even a 18 tinner new these days, I paid less for my house than some listings.
  21. As a shooting sports enthusiast , haven't missed an election since I turned 21 in the seventies, yeah I'm that old. Not much of a choice for us at the poll , except in '93.
  22. Pretty good guitar for a keyboard player, really liked this song early seventies but solo effort is amazing by an amazingly talented musician.
  23. On the Niagara Fishing forum the guys are doing great on perch off Pt. Abino, Crystal Beach, sixty feet of water, when the damned winds cooperate.
  24. Agreed, Looking at my grade 1 class pic here, 1956, 28 kids , but not really grade 1, there was grades 1 and 2 in one room , one teacher, it got better though. Next room grades 3,4 and 5 were in ONE room so the class size would be approaching 40 and only ONE teacher, same with 6,7, and 8, one room , one teacher. Bet our grammar , spelling and basic math skills were better than kids today and with very little of today's bullying , we could even write cursive too 😂 that's me 3rd from left , front row 😀
  25. The second generation is noteworthy, first generation salmon hybrids are really fairly common. I believe there have been a few instances of Splake successfully reproducing as well. Best friend growing up lives on the river not far downstream from the dam on Lake Cowichan, he and his grandson were busy transferring fingerlings from isolated pools to the main river during a drought this summer.
