Seeing it is the last season to open, I find it somewhat anti-climatic, but then, I really don't like them on the table so I don't target them often.

Sail filing for Chapter 11 restructuring

20 years old article , but the same Bull reporting from the media on firearms issues đ . The M1 Garand doesn't use 30 round magazines or any magazine at all but is loaded with 8 only from the top of the receiver , the bottom is solid and FYI it was designed by a Canadian " John Garand ". Up until the latest fiasco from the minds of our government were totally unrestricted and bought and sold freely with just a PAL, not restricted as said. Does anyone remember " Hercules Mil Surplus " on the east side of Yonge, think they were just above College, bought a great parka there in '69 that lasted my 4 years at UofT. They had barrels full of milsurps , Lee Enfields were under 30 bucks then đ -
Built quite a few rods in the 80's built on Fenwick / Woodstream blanks and they were made in Niagara Falls Ontario, commercially they also made rods, women wrapped them locally in their homes and Algonquin / Blanchard made rods on yellow spigot furled blanks made by Fenwick as well, think they were based in the Kawarthas area

Dating myself , but going to U of T 69/74 just below Bloor on Yonge, there was Skinner's Sporting Goods on 1 side of Yonge and virtually across from it was Hallam's Gun Store, I recall getting a brand new 22-250 Remington varmint rifle there, putting it in a case and getting on the subway đ¤Ŗ. Skinner's later moved down on Adelaide just east of Yonge in what was an old bank building and Hallams went to a strip mall, think they had an indoor range there. -

I miss the Outdoor Stores , I went to the one at QEW and Dixie I think it was, joy when we got one in an old supermarket at Main and Parkdale in Hamilton. The yuppie Collegiate Sports bought them out , got rid of the nasty firearms ( albeit I did get some great closeout deals ) and it went downhill from there. -
Looking for a used fishing boat and some advice

Wife was selling it for what he said he paid for it. -
Based on the experience of acquaintances I wouldn't buy a welded boat under .125" either, starting with an '88 Crestliner they have been bad, maybe they have sorted out the welding by now but seen too many cracks lengthwise , immediately adjacent to the welds.

No, not dislike , but they seem to want it all very early in their life whereas me and my parents generation took years ( decades ) to accumulate what we have. Economic downturn ? I retired May 2008 , just before the SHTF in the stockmarkets later that year, believe me this downturn pales in comparison to the drop back then, of course at 70 my portfolio was a bit more conservative than at 58. The jobs situation does suck especially if you paid for university education only to land a " do you want fries with that ? " job.

Essentially the same boat as the 18 Sylvan I ran and posted earlier on a US ad, I ran a 90 Johnson V4 on it , ran high 30's mph, with a 60 it would be a dog, they were rated up to 140 HP. Nice boat otherwise -

Looks like a Genuine Easy Steer bracket tying the motors together, those things were almost 2 bills back in the 80's when I bought one, but they do work well -

Probably adds up to a lot less than they are paying to the 20/30 year olds that are mortgaged to the max and then some, new cars in the drive, maxed out credit cards and mega cellphone plans, don't have any savings , living paycheck to paycheck and now can't afford their $7 morning lattes screaming " HELP ME " cause there is a hiccup in their paychecks coming in.
-
When will they learn " you can't fix stupid " waste of tax dollars
-
Believe me , they are not saving much based on my CPP ( which I paid into BTW) and my OAS, for which I paid taxes for 40 some years.

We've ( wife) started the online ordering with everything going on, I swing by when she gets an email it is ready, I'll tell her about the delivery. đ

Could be , I only got hit once last trip for the dispensing when picking up 2 different ones for my wife, she is still under 65 so hers are on the company plan, I'm 70 so mine are a mish-mash of gov't and company cause the company one only picks up what the gov't don't. Worst part I guess is all the extra trips when we are trying to reduce exposure to the outside world.

60 years ago , all the fisherman were bad mouthing Mercs, no serious one would have one of those black, sometimes white POS hanging on their transon. They would not start in cold weather and wouldn't troll, only good for water skiers and speedboat. Johnnyrudes were the motor of choice.

Back to virus related issues, now that the Old Age Security ( that is an oxymoron if I ever saw one ) cheques are out, did any of you other old pharts see the $300 or $500 top up that the kid said was coming ? same amounts here as usual. Taking a killing here on dispensing fees with the drug stores only giving 30 day supplies of all our meds .

I ran an identical boat to this almost 20 years on L. Ontario and Erie, with the newer motor is still in your budget. Unfortunately the border might be a problem at this time. Pulled it with a 4.3 GM V6, a little over a ton with gear and rigging. http://www.centerpointeservice.com/boats-for-sale/1983-sylvan-18ft-center-console-pewaukee-wisconsin-5792742/?print=1&full=1 -
Still in elementary, probably 12 or 13, can you even get a license that young ?
-
early 60's here, cable and pulley steering, the throttle you just reached back and twisted the tiller, one speed, flat out đ
-
Stay away from any farm raised fish, period. Pancake mix and beer or egg dip then flour back in the egg and then panko
-
I've seen some of their stuff at Len's Mills of all places, last time I was in there with my wife getting craft supplies
-
Most of the good stuff is mail order anyway, as far as big box stores, Cabelas used to have a significant edge on Bass Pro who seemed to cater more to those who fished for green fish <- yuck
