  1. Anyone want to bet that if Iggy loses the election again and is replaced as leader of the Liberal Partyas a result, he is not a resident of Canada in 3 years??
  2. I know there is absolutely no intent to break the law on your part and chances of the geese finding that bait in the wooded area are remote but you might want to consider the distance from your bait station to your goose setup. Technically if a C.O. or RCMP officer wanted to push it you could be found in violation of the Migratory Game Bird Act. Quote BAIT RESTRICTIONS 14. (1) Subject to section 23.3, no person shall hunt for migratory game birds within 400 m of any place where bait has been deposited unless the place has been free of bait for at least seven days. Just a thought for you to consider
  3. WTG, very nice silver fish, caught darker fish offshore. Bet they are good safe eaters too.

(905)-768-3267 this text from another ad, seems to indicate the motor is included, I thought it a lot of boat for the money for a Great Lakes angler
  5. For that kinda money I'd rather have something like this, and have $20G left to blow on electronic and other goodies. http://www.donhydemarine.com/searchengine/...rtDir=DESC& BTW that includes a T top with rocket launchers . yes please
  6. A lot of trailers have those white spoked rims, maybe a couple of feet of hardened chain through the spokes and around the frame of the trailer with good keyed alike locks wouldn't be very expensive but somewhat effective.
  7. Thanks for the tip Terry
  8. Sorry if it's been posted before, believe it was 2007 North Bay. Just thought it was a similar situation but this time involving Ontario's finest and our tax dollars. <BTW> what am I doing wrong , expected a pic to appear, not a link?
  9. We can beat that http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f12/dltc...pg?t=1250386529
  10. Blue zone is defined more by temperature than by a distance off shore, characteristically it is a long ways out. Look for certain things when running out looking for this zone sudden change in air temperature....if you have surface temp capabilties watch for a sudden drop ... watch for a line of debris.. this usually associated with a change in surface temp... sometimes the water will be dead flat calm one side of this thermal break and lightly rippled on the other. What you are looking for ideally are upwellings of cooler water. This is primarily a coho rainbow fishery with lines set 30 feet or less. I remember in the early 80's running red fireplugs off planer boards in july and early august in 360 to 400 feet of water off Port Weller, 12 to 15 miles offshore. With the increased presence of Coho it may be worth a shot again.
  11. Low water steelheading, camoflage top really helps, too many times I've seen bright yellow raingear send fish scattering as a guy walk thru on the bank., but I think I'll stick to my deer hunting duds.
  12. Nice fish, beauty day on Erie no comment on the hat
  13. this one, DYNOMIGHT http://ttiblakemore.com/shop/index.php?mai...products_id=422
  14. here's an old one that still works very well for bouncing off structure and won't break the bank, I have excellent success with the Blakemore Roadrunner for smallies, get the black maribou/chenille one and also the white plastic curly tail to start, 1/8 and 1/4 oz. Edit: Along the same line Mann's Little George sweetened with a piece of nightcrawler , killer drifting Erie reefs for smallies
  15. Here is a couple of clips of favourite Les Paul players of mine, saw Joe last fall at Brock University, wish Gary would come over to North America more often The man himself was an incredible player , there are a couple of TV Documentaries worth hunting down for those interested
  16. I heard once that a large portion of the these male victims had their fly open when they went over, lost their balance while whizzin over the side, I actually think there is some truth in that or is it one of those urban myths?
  17. Friend's dad had an "Elgin" in the early 60's about 5 horse, pretty sure it was aircooled. Looked identical to the " Eska " brand motors that were advertised in dad's outdoors mags. Probably they made them for Sear's or so we thought.
  18. I'd recommend you get a few of the smaller Hula Poppers or similar spinning sized floating plugs , would essentially be the same thing but with enough weight to cast on your spinning rig.
  19. Great, used one of those once on a square end canoe, good HP for that. The one I used had an integral tank and direct drive, no gear shift, always in gear, you had to be ready when it started cause you were on the move. Sure you will be happy, would move a 12 foot tin not too bad. Glad it turned out OK.
  20. The required lube for the lower end might also be 90 weight hypoid gear oil. Seems to me when I was a kid that what Dad's old green Johnson 5 1/2 used. The oil we mixed with gas was not the hi-tech certified for use at 100:1 ratio stuff, a lot of straight 30wt. got mixed around the farm in various small 2 cycle engines. I would think chain saw grade 2 cycle oil would be ok for this engine at that 16:1 ratio.
  21. Cover looks familiar, probably hidden away in the same box as " The Greening of America " and " The Silent Spring ".
  22. Think that is about 24:1 would depend on whether it is US or Imperial Measure, not the same as more recent motors.
  23. Might be that the gas / oil ratio in the fuel is richer than 50:1 going back that far, anyone have any insight on that??
  24. Surprised no one else has weighed in with an opinion, remember a recent Atlantic ID ?? generated a substantial thread . I would still lean to Atlantic looking at the shape, relatively few spots on the gill cover and a slight fork in the tail.
  25. Nice going Do I see an Atlantic in there??
