  1. If your concerned you could always spray a sealer on the foam after drilling to give piece of mind.... I wouldn't worry tho....
  2. I usually call this stuff in.... Otherwise your the one explaining your actions.... I have put a good scare into some people but would never touch them or their property.... Just whip out your smartphone if you have one and roll video of them... Then get their plate #s....
  3. If I understand the OPs thinking here.... It would appear that the trout eats the bead and when the angler sets into the fish.... The hook then makes contact with the fish.... I would think when any decent size trout takes a bead the hook would get sucked in its mouth with the bead... There's only a 2" gap from what I've read....
  4. I'm surprised "god keep our land" is still in it... A lot of people do not believe in god... Does that make them victims too... Lol
  5. If you want easy duck hunting come down and try the st lawrence in December.... They're everywhere... And very limited hunters.... I'm in the Cornwall area and could share a couple spots with you if you like.... I should add... I don't hunt...I just know the river and where to hunt... My brother hints ducks... ...
  6. Awesome... Kinda neat she's a humpback... At first I thought it was how you holded her... Makes the fish even more special...
  7. Just got the trolling bible app... "P-T-D" The app itself is free... Comes with the flicker shad as an example of what you get for each lure... You can purchase individual lures for $1.99 each... Purchase everything for $49.99... Or lifetime for $99.99... With this any lure aditions are free for life.... Downfall I see so far... Doesn't seem to have lead core chart... And the snap weight info is devided into 4... So you paying $8 for all the snap weight info...
  8. I'm the same... It's the tough days that keep me out longer... When they're biting really well... Those days I'm willing to cut short... Days where I'm busting my hump to catch... I'll fish all day trying to figure it out.... I'll even relaunch in deferent ares to try and find active fish up/down river.... I'm more proud of a limit on a tough bite then 2-3 times a limit when they're biting...
  9. Nice try fellas... And karma will make its way to you... Some day...
  10. I've been to other forums... Many actually... Some with like 50 subsections... You end up with seperate groups within the group... And eliminates exposing others to you posts...pictures.... Stories... Etc... As well as yourself... Anyone who has been on iceshanty should understand what I'm saying... I always pop in here everyday and other then classified section or photo section I'm getting everything I'm looking for on the first page...
  11. I'll worry about that when I'm retired... Otherwise I fish when I can... 40+ hours at work... And 2 kids under 3... I don't care what the weatherman says or a berometer... If I can go I go...
  12. I forget the actual size... 2 inch I think.... Home Depot had everything I needed...
  13. I built my own frame from PVC... And use the boat cover I got with my boat... No issues... Just clean the snow off if it's heavy or thick....
  14. It was big here... Hardly needed the headlight last night fishing eyes.... It was super bright...
  15. Agreed... I paid $7000 for a 10 year old Lund... 16 foot... With a 40hp Honda 4 stroke... That was a few years ago... Galvanized trailer... Boat cover... Down rigger... Etc....
  16. Anyone makin fish tacos...? There's a million reipes online... I was wondering if any of you have a fairly simple recipe you've found that is good... I will be using walleye in them... Got some fresh eater size walleye tonight and wanted to try something new... Thanks....
  17. If you bait a small right bait bed... The carp will clear all the weeds
  18. If one person stabs another over a debate about guns.... Is the gun violence.... Hmmm
  19. Surface fishing is a tough go unless you find fish actively feeding on the surface the day you go... From what I understand its more of a backup... Most days they're feeding down... One of the easiest and best baits to start with is corn... The cheapest canned corn you can find... Generally the cheaper corn is bigger tougher kernels.... Lasts longer... You can add flavor to it... A sprinkle of salt or sugar... A bit of maple syrup... A few drops of vanilla or anise... They eat it all...
  20. Lmao... Welcome to the board... Lol There's probably some smokers in this debate.... YOU MURDERERS!!!!!!!!
  21. That's a big pike.... Big enough it would have been living there for many years...
  22. Can't get it for iPhone I guess... The HD Just showing up for the iPad.... That sucks...
