I should have said the prop turns slow and is a little hard to turn by hand. I haven’t even tried the steering yet. it’s a 1994 model. lol. I believe the newer ones are easier on batteries. I’d like to get one with a remote. im just working my way through all of the stuff. It took 50hrs of work and about $1200 in parts to get it ready for water. it’s a great boat to drive though.

I’m rigging a new to me boat. IMG_7712.mov I need 3’or4’ cannon tracks. A blue Bimini for 7’4” wide boat. A hummingbird ff/gps that uses xnt9 20 transducer. A starting battery. Two bow mount batteries. I don’t care how heavy they are. And maybe a new bow mount as I haven’t checked the one that’s on it. Everything was good or I just fixed. if someone is planning on upgrading I would like there old stuff.

I didn’t find any cheap lower unit oil. $32 a liter.

Thanks I just got three. my max weight should be less then 2500# I think I’ll find a scale to see what it is.

Looks like I need new trailer tires. what size tires for 2500lb total weight? one tires says 205 75 14. But it sticks out a bit past the fender. I’ll get rims too. I wonder if any are on sale.

Good call on the in water release. I was thinking of the slime because I did a trip where we kept a few and my boat was wall to wall slime by the end of the week. It’s nice to bring the younger guys because then you have somebody to carry your gear.

Lake O would be a nice trip but I haven’t given up on GB yet. towing the boat from Barrie to lake O ain’t great either.

I’d like to find a good salmon bite but where? I guess I could go for Erie walleye. I’m not sure what to do for the next trip.

Went to Meaford for kings. Not much on the finder. Ran new gear and everything worked great. Big Jon electric is really fast compared to my old one. The big Jon free and easy release works ok and I got one fish on it. I’ll have to try it again to see if I’m going to keep using it. 2/2 on lake trout. Nice morning out.

Where should I go for the best chance at a fish. Wasaga. Meaford or owensound. I haven’t been to Wasaga or meaford launch in years. Is wasaga park launch still good. Meaford launch on hayfield st park on side of street still good?

I probably have 1hr boating/fishing to 5hrs repairs maintenance upgrades and fishing gear prep.

I’m thinking about port burwell. It looks like the closest and best drive. I’ve never fished it. How many miles out to 50’ deep? I might start fishing Owensound for salmon first though.
