  3. Very interesting Lew. I love history like that. Great story behind the picture. I think it would be a good idea to start a new thread on this topic. I'm willing to bet that there would be some great reading.

  17. I've got one Lew and its been great. I usually put an extra sleeping bag under the one I'm sleeping in just for a little padding. You can also get accessories that attach to the side with lots of pockets to hold all your stuff. Mine fits in the back of my van and it makes a nice little setup back there.
  18. Something you should seriously consider. Another great report Bunk (as always). I got a BONER reading it!!!
  19. I'll have to check it when I get home. What kind of lure did they use to get them out??
  20. Can't see your link from work, but they do have a diver go in the big tank in the Springfield store. You actually go downstairs to a classroom and watch the diver describe the fish as he is feeding them. Usually have a conservation officer there too with a few snakes and other wildlife. Very cool.
  21. Yah, and you're a real looker too Ron!!!! Hey, I learned a lot too Ron, but then again all the staff members are stupid One of the most rewarding things about the store is getting the young ones pumped up about fishing. The guy you were talking to was Andrew and you're right very knowledable and friendly.
  22. I don't think that is any different from any other big box store. Does LeBarons match BPS pricing? Just curious?
  23. I hear and understand what you're saying oncogene. When I was 7 years old I fell in the water and can still remember sitting on the bottom (I was only in about 4 feet). Although I loved fishing I had a real fear of the water. When I was about 40, we bought a house with a huge inground pool and I forced myself to take lessons and learn how to swim. Sorry I didn't do it sooner. I can still remember the first time going into the pool each year and standing on the diving board for 20 minutes trying to get up the nerve to jump in. Like others have said, go to your community pool and take some lessons. You'll be glad you did and not just for the exercise. Good luck buddy.
