  1. Don't think I can help much with the pictures thing as our hard drive crashed about a year ago and we lost everything. I bet Tyler's mom would be able to help her though. Perhaps one of our local computer gurus could give her a call and help her set things up so she can access the OFC board again, I for one miss her input!
  2. Well, Thursday will be our final full day here (for this trip at least), I'd like to stay longer but there are some issues at home that I have to attend to so we will be hitting the road early Friday morning and should be home late Saturday or early Sunday depending on the weather and road conditions. I have to say this has been a fantastic vacation, I have been fishing almost every single day, caught so many different species I have lost count, caught so many fish I could have fed a small country and above all met some wonderful people along the way. I am sun tanned, wind burnt and water logged from all the time I spent in the pool, I haven't done so much walking in many years, Sue actually used her pidometer and figured out I had actually walked over 6 miles in one day (and that didn't include doing the mall shopping thing). That might not seem like a lot to some of you young ones but for an old fart like me 6 miles seems like a long way LOL. (I think back to my army days and a 10 mile run was just a warm up LOL) I keep looking at the weather back home and I feel so sorry for those people that are having to cope with the extream cold weather, snow, and super high heating costs. I know my heating cost is more than 2.5 times what it was last winter, I'm one of the lucky ones, I can still work; what about those people that are on a fixed income. Lets see, freeze to death or go without eating????? Once I get back and have full internet access, I'll try to post some more pictures, the internet where we are is very slow and not very stable. Wish you could all be here to share it with us, it is the only thing that could have made it better.
  3. Some really good ideas here, I still like the idea of Brian's extension though, it would make my life a lot easier. My back likes the idea too LOL.
  4. You going to put those adaptors and extensions in the auction? I bid $25.00 do I hear $30.00?
  5. If I am understanding what I see on that wood piece, it just slips in the U-bolt as the shaft is spinning so the wood isn't turning. I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work and I think it is a good idea but I still like the idea of the fixed disc better.
  6. I would call or email them, most of those units are supplied with a generac code that you use initially then program your own code into the unit.
  7. Just in case anyone missed it, it is in the clasifieds. http://ontariofishingcommunity.com/forums/index.php?showforum=61 Let the bidding wars begin and remember this is for a very good cause!
  8. Thanks Roy, already some great items in there!
  9. I would suggest: drain any of the old fuel that is in it right now. Mix a bit of fresh fuel and add stabilizer, start and run the auger for a few minutes just to flush the fuel line and carb. Turn it off, drain the tank and put it away. Stabilizer will HELP to keep the fuel from going stale but it is only good for about a year (depending on which one you use). Running things like that dry was old school (before ethanol) but it can cause the diaphrams to dry out and could cause problems next year.
  10. Sorry we didn't know sooner, this is my third week coming up of being here. Oh well, next time perhaps!
  11. I am really sorry to hear that it isn't working out. Where are they located?
  12. Thanks Roy
  13. Does anyone know if there is there going to be an auction section this year?
  14. PM sent. Glad to be able to help!
  15. I am currently in Florida and will be leaving here next Friday Feb. 7th early am. If you can have them shipped to me at my motel, I'll bring them back to Lindsay for you no problem. From Lindsay it won't be hard to get them over to you. Just let me know if this would work for you and I'll give you my address here.
  16. 4 ways and flashing lights are supposed to be a warning that there is some sort of a problem or obstruction, when I see them I slow right down and make sure I know exactly what is going on. I have been driving for over 50 years, seen lots of 4 ways and flashing lights and never ran into any of them. Perhaps if other drivers slowed down and made sure they knew what the issue was they wouldn't run into them either! Too many people are getting licenses by going to places like Lindsay and taking their tests when the roads are clean and dry then getting out there to face the reality of driving in Canada.
  17. How many people would you be taking on this adventure, do you have a minimum/maximum #?
  18. You guys be careful or I'll have to come home and smarten you up! I sure don't want to hear that any of you (who should know better) have taken a foolish chance and got yourself into trouble!
  19. Thanks Roy, got it and sent him an email.
  20. Anyone have an email or contact information for Brandon, seems he hasn't been on line since Sept..
  21. Thanks so much gang this has given me a really good base to start with and I will try to contact Brandon as well.
  22. Thanks Joey, I can only imagine how spectacular they would be if you were here to take them. I've been called a lot of things over the years but photographer isn't one of them. Don't know if Sue would go along with that LOL It is really hard to figure out what is what down here, so many of the fish are very similar in color. If I ask five people on the pier, I get five different opinions. Whatever they are those teath sure look like they could do some serious damage. That's why I just kept heading South my friend, so far so good at least here in Clearwater, high here today is only +12 but by Friday we are supposed to be back up into the low 20s. Lets see it snow then! Sue saw it, does that explain everything? I really like Myrtle Beach but it was getting too cold so we ended up coming over to Clearwater Beach. I am glad we did now.
  23. Just a few photos I thought you might enjoy: A Bonnethead shark, I have caught quite a few of these, apparently they are about 14-16" long when born. http://rs896.pbsrc.com/albums/ac164/cbignell/058_zps9944a3b9.jpg~c200 This apparently is called a whiting, notice the two really sharp teeth at the front of the mouth. http://rs896.pbsrc.com/albums/ac164/cbignell/048_zpsfe9bbed0.jpg~c200 A crow that likes to steal stuff right out of your bag, he doesn't seem to be afraid of people at all. http://rs896.pbsrc.com/albums/ac164/cbignell/082_zpsfe5f4578.jpg~c200?t=1390923389 Lastly, a Clearwater Beach sunset. http://rs896.pbsrc.com/albums/ac164/cbignell/066_zpsc1e480f1.jpg~c200
  24. Thank you! I'll be waiting, I really appreciate it!
