  1. 4200 is supposed to come off. I have used it in the past and it has remained watertight. If your just replacing the pump, in the original inlet and not cutting any new holes, 4200 should do the trick and keep you dry!
  2. Sweet new rig! I don't miss the spray in my face though. With ipilot technology, the kicker motor kicking, tiller control is no longer an issue for me: I can crazy Ivan just as well with the Minnkota. I spend 70 percent of my time at the back of the boat now anyway and that windshield is a godsend going home in 3 footers!!
  3. Princess auto, in electronics/wiring section.
  4. I have always had a disconnect for my trolling motor. I never liked charging with the motor hooked to the battery. Probably completely harmless but it bugged me. Princess auto has suitable trolling motor plugs. It's about $15 for both sides. Also nice if you have your trolling motor on a quick release!
  5. Misfish, what's the name of the store? Barrie is a fair hike from my neck of the woods but I'd stop to buy crawfish next time I pass through!!
  6. Much better for mobile. What would be even better is to get a mobile skin back.
  7. Thanks, Time to price match CT. The counter clerk at our local store thinks it's her own money. I love watching her pained expression when trying to process how much money the store is out when I walk up with 6 cans.
  8. They both absolutely knew exactly what they where doing. They are Instagram/Facebook fisherman. Don't feel any pity for them.
  9. They where out at Buckhorn the Friday before the sanctuary opened. They issued a lot of charges. It was very nice to see. '"'
  10. Not GTA unfortunately. I had Fergus welding rebuild my axle and installed it and all new hardware myself.
  11. I'm running 14x19 on a Suzuki 140. My top is 39 with a tailwind, half tank of gas, just me in the boat and livewells empty. Hull design has a lot to do with it. I have a 19 degree deadrise and top end suffers badly. I can however bust 3 footers with ease all the while staying dry. Trade offs LoL. My buddies pro V will do 50mph on a 150hp engine with stainless prop. I feel he probably has the best of both worlds for rough water handling and top end. That boat has seen us through some nasty crap. I'm mainly a big water troller though, so high speeds aren't my thing. My boat is excellent when things get ugly, but there are days I'd like to go fast.....
  12. I had a spring go and a bent axle on my old trailer. Yes it's possible. It also ate my tires on the way home from north bay. In my case I believe it was a bad pothole that broke the spring and did in my axle. Is it possible you had something similar happen? The remedy was new springs both sides and a reworked axle at my local welding shop.
  13. Yeah I used to switch back and forth on my old Lund depending on if it was fishing or hunting season. The lower pitched prop would get me up on plane much quicker with a heavy load, but I definately lost top end. For what it's worth my buddy has the same motor on his rebel 16 and had the same issue. Heck I have it with my boat if I have 2 big guys sitting in the rear flip seats.
  14. Are you using nanofil line? If not, give it a try in 10lb. You'll be amazed at the distance you can toss an HJ12 or an xrap.
  15. Some of the newer tiller motor have an option built in that allows you to adjust the rpm in small increments to suit your preferred trolling speed. Lund Furys are a pretty nice 16 foot boat. I had a similar boat in an older generation of Lund and it was great.
  16. Do yourself a favour. Don't update your apps and don't update your phone unless you really need to. I generally stop doing updates about halfway through my device life cycle and stick with it until it fails. I also don't update apps that don't really require it. My phone works great, and so does the navionics on it that I paid $15 for 5 or 6 years ago.
  17. Do it yourself, but when you do splurge for the Minnkota breaker. With your batteries up front this is dead easy. And I doubt very much that you will need to change the wiring at all, but if you feel more comfortable just call the manufacturer.
  18. Its pretty straightforward. You should be able to do it yourself as long as there is room in your battery compartment. You just need a jumper lead and your golden. I don't know that I'd worry about changing out the boat wiring. If maybe just call the manufacturer and see if the pre installed wiring will be good to go. It likely will be fine.
  19. I meant sell fast lol. But yeah I had a very similar boat and that sounds about right!
  20. I've been using powerpro for years. I use 20lb on spinning, and 30lb on casting reels. I do use some nanofil on a couple of spinning reels, but I find it does degrade faster than power pro. Some of my trolling rigs use 50lb. I have at least one casting reel with braid approaching the ten year mark. I just spool it on the opposite way every year, and I use fluorocarbon leaders. Every so often I have to cut a couple of feet off and I have just added a bit more mono backer to the spool if needed. About the only time I've replaced a spool is if I've had the occasional disastrous birds nest. But most of them come out ok with some patience. I only have a couple of reels with mono these days, not counting downrigger or float gear. Mono is still king there as far as I'm concerned.
  21. That is a good deal. Looks like a Suzuki made Johnson motor as well. Should move fast.
  22. The only way to get legal interpretations that your can rely on from the MNR is to get emailed correspondence from a district Enforcement Supervisor with respect to your concern.
  23. If by haters you mean people that are fed up with folks that always feel the need to stick their oar in with relatively harmless activities then yes, I am a hater. Very much so.
  24. What I would do if my high moral standards where interfering with my ability to participate in something in good conscience is pretty simple. I'd mind my business, rather than screwing every other dude with a tin boat and the anticipation of a fun day out with maybe a couple bucks on the line. People are quick to get up on their moral high horses these days. Problem is they often ruin things for people who've been quietly enjoying a relatively harmless activity for many years. Bass are hardy and very plentiful.
  25. This is really your best suggestion. I have both a handheld and a portable sonar with 5 inch screen and GPS. Much easier to see the sonar on my ATV handlebars than the little 2 inch screen on the handheld. Love the handheld for hunting though.
