I agree with bookoobeast they all stink and the problem with voip, if the internet goes down so does your phone and if you have cable tv it could be down too can't surf can't phone can't watch tv...the world would end

I have back reeled in the past and it does work you have the switch flipped so you can back reel and rather then using the drag you reel in reverse to ease the pressure on the line......if your not good at it, you will lose lots of fish now what I do is, I have a loose drag all the time, so any time a fish wants to run, it can and I finger the spool with my index finger putting extra drag whenever it is needed while lifting the rod to 90% then reeling in as I drop the rod back down, then again remove or put my finger back on the spool as needed and do the same thing all over till the fish gets in...very little practice and it will come easy..don't know if I wrote that in a way anyone could follow

but that does seem to be the way all news is going..the more bloody details the better..they think..... the "A"channel, that was the New VR ,that was CKVR, that was CBC..now seems to have the policy that when ever someone dies or gets raped to bang on the families doors and get a response..most times they show someone at the door saying go away we don't want to talk..... but why they think that I, as a viewer would want to see the mother of a 10 year old kid that just downed, crying and saying how much she misses her kid that died an hour before is sickening and beneath them and has nothing to do with with reporting the news...but that's what they think people want to hear

you make a rod holder on the front bumper then you bend the rod over to the back bumper where you have a downrigger clip you clip the end of the rod and there you have it

irishfield is right I didn't use live bait I walked around talking to everyone and doing everything except fishing 1/2 an hour before the end I thought I would try fishing..a green meegs and a small green tube on it and Mr trout jumped all over it........wonder if I can do it again....but with bigchevy and Ron out there it will be hard to do it again

one piece rods are more sensitive, IMHO and if you bend a 2 piece rod you will see the natural curve of the bend is changed where they join but 2 piece sure is better for traveling and storage so it's a trade off, and most times I don't see that much difference, so I go with the 2 piece rod

I have had it for some time now I love it no wires going down the shaft..works well only down side is no temp on it so if your fishfinder has that feature, it will not work

I have the map76cs, which is one step down from that one and I love it there is nothing more that I need in a portable gps, it does it all has a great list of add-on maps I don't think you could go wrong with it

well the transom should be under 25" so the 36" one should be more then fine.. as for 40lber, it depends on what you are going to use the motor for if you are going to troll with it rather then position with it a 40 may not be big enough for a 16ft boat
