I wouldn't say splake are easy to catch. It's pretty easy to get skunked in mid winter. 2 winters ago we had 8 guys out, 16 lines in the water, not one bite and it's a pretty good lake.
No fish were caught but it still looks like a great way to spend the day to me.
I think you and that Indy are going to have some crazy adventures and good times.
I wish I had a spot near my cottage for night shift ling, it would probably be a mad house on the ice some nights.
Does your truck have a digital or analogue odometer?
I know with the Ford trucks around that age and older, it was possible to pull the fuse for the instrument cluster, drive it, and not register any kms on the odometer.
Is it a portable, blow up vinyl tub?
I'd buy a kit.

hard plastic I would try J B Weld marine epoxy. Never done it, just an idea.
I would vote for the Crosstrek as the coolest looking. I don't like full time AWD though.
Check out the Nissan Rogue too. My brother loves his, great mileage and he prefers it over his last vehicle a Rav4.
You can't say something like that without elaborating???
I could go to the cottage and go out Sunday (Julian is testing the waters as I write this) but it looks too cold for my wife and baby so I'm likely buggered.
