  1. Nice Bri! Sounds like you're eating pretty good. How do you rig your Meegs? same for hard water?
  2. I've seen this on many lakes, anytime of the year, ice fishing too. I was trolling a flat last weekend, back and forth, watching the graph. As soon as the sun is down, the screen lights up like this. 8:43 is actually 9:43 I'm guessing they're benthic invertebrates rising off bottom? Has anybody else seen this? what kind of bugs are they?
  3. I haven't had anything rebuilt lately, but that does sound really high, $1500 per cylinder. If you are looking at rebuilding, find out exactly what will be done. There can be a vast difference in what someone considers a rebuild or a complete rebuild.
  4. I'm secretive, misleading bastage I had a dog scare me in the same area, was it 2 females camping (the owners)? just curious Nice boat. That canoe will serve you well and hold it's value. It's good solo or tandem.
  5. I was hoping you were going to do a report. Great job, I enjoyed reading that. Sounds like a memorable week. Pym sounds awesome, hopefully you guys can swing it.
  6. Like the other guys said, it's obvious you're chomping at the bit Bunk. Who wouldn't be. I would try to borrow a 12 gauge from somebody up there and keep checking over your shoulder. Good luck Bunk, hopefully the fish are in, looking forward to reading about the adventure.
  7. I was fishing all last week. The shoreline was void of life. I caught fish in deeper water but it was slow. July is a tough month IMO, lots of mayflies on my lake too.
  8. A link to The Analytical Economist? the online equivalent of the National Enquirer Has a cop ever done anything wrong? remember, to serve and protect
  9. Yep, screw the bass when there's skis to be had, smart kid. Nice report.
  10. I don't know if "popular" is the right word Great story and great little hook up guys. Walleye city up there. What's the story with the mighty Aurora pic?
  11. I did my first impeller with help from Youtube. I wasn't too tough. The trickiest part was getting the linkage back together properly so it would shift normally. If reaming out your pee hole doesn't work, I'd say give it a shot. You can always bring it to a pro if you get buggered up.
  12. God bless Canada! I know it's Euro soccer, but for you guys flying your flags off your cars why don't you leave and go back if you're so proud and patriotic
  13. Dutch or Kewley or anyone else interested, wanna do some night shift shore fishing Monday night? I'm heading north tomorrow for the week
  14. No, like Rick said. If you know what you're looking for, you can see the walleye's eye reflect back with a headlight. It looks like a small, iridescent pearl. New moon on Monday. Monday night would be a good chance for night shift eyes.
  15. I saw celine dion
  16. I'm pretty sure the NFF wouldn't had done nearly as well as he did with the pike and brookies if you weren't there to scout. Nicely done Bunk! That almost 50 is a fresh water shark. Never been, but I want to experience Nipigon someday.
  17. I would bow mount the trolling motor. My pontoon has a plate on the back of one of the pontoons I assume for mounting a transducer. Maybe your cousins has the same thing.
  18. Thanks Bunk. The word on the street is you were also being an over 40 big kid at heart, and your playground was Nipigon. Write it up, I wanna hear about it.
  19. not a merc fan in general just my 2 cents
  20. Sounds like you take care of your stuff. I know in the end you're going to do what you are going to do, but to me it makes no sense financially or practically to sell your outboard and buy a Merc 150 4 stroke.
  21. I also tie a freehand nail knot just to show off and get chicks
  22. If you're coming in from the west side, the Dorset fire tower is pretty cool if you're not scared of heights
  23. That's what I use, and the double uni for braid to flouro
