  1. Thats all you have to do, everything is exactly the same, unbolt the 8" and put on the 10".
  2. Try Yarn or streamers, they may be going on the winter streamer bite soon, roe slows down in the winter. Try Pete's tackle they sell hatchery Brown roe 10 bags $5.00. I think they sell it loose awell, still expensive but a better deal.
  3. Keep on trolling with your I/O's boys, my brother is a Marine Mechanic and make big dollars rebuilding drives. He loves I/O's lots of chicken to be made hahahahahaha.
  4. The Canal closes Dec 27th or 28th, usually every year at the same time. sorry this year the closing date is Dec 30
  5. If you get an I/O prepare for lots of repair costs,if you troll with your I/O then you'll need more $$$.I/O are notorius for breakdowns, the drives tend to wear alot faster, shafts, gears bearings and such tend to wear out. Most newer boats are all designed with outboards now for a reason, with the 4 stroke outboards in todays markets the I/O's will soon be history. The other option is a screw drive ( straight shaft), it's about 10X more relaible then a I/O, but with a single can be a bugger to steer.
  6. Here in Niagara I run into Italo all the time on the Niagara or Port Dalhousie, he is a great guy to fish with, very polite and has some good tips.He is always friendly and truely is a class guy, a breath a fresh air around here some days.
  7. What a shame how this company has gone downhill in the past few years,at one time there huts were top of the line.I've heard so many horror stories relating to the quality of there products lately I'll stay away from anything Clam Corp sells, there are far better products on the market at the same or cheaper prices.
  8. If this is true no permanent huts would be allowed on any lake till after Jan 1 if there is a hut removal date
  9. would the law be the same for Simcoe aswell?
  10. 4 pgs on this thread and finally a sensible reply
  11. I can totally sympathize with your problem, my storm door opens the same as yours did in the same situtation, I would never put up with it opening the opposite way, that would be a huge deal with me.
  12. devils hole......nice, bugger to get there
  13. The problem is we deal with the MNR we are not allowed to put fish, in the stocking area, the fishers have no say, Atlantics yes, Steelhead NO , untill recently it's a crazy MNR deal, try to pen salmon now it's a freaking MNR catastropy , I'm telling you to put 10'000 salmon in a pen and raise them right is like pulling teeth, in fact pulling teeth would be easier. Puting fish in a nice stable enviroment is a good idea then you meet the MNR
  14. ya dude I know what your saying, don't worry though the american boys get on this crap , I was discusted by the killing fields I've seen over there, one of the reasons I don't fish the American tribs it turns into slauter feild over there. You boys think the Bronte is bad go to Oswego
  15. To be more clear is they want rianbow trout to be a self sustaing population unlike browns/salmon which would be a put& take fishery, although Atlantic Salmon, lake trout fall under the self sustaing window. The goal of the MNR is to restore our lakes to a 1800's type natural regeneration, not likely going to happen
  16. It is not a put and take fishery, Steelhead have been desiginated a speceies of a reproductive species in the Great Lakes. The MNR along with other juisdictions has given Steelhead(rainbows) a jurisdiction above a put& take fishery, the rainbow fishery is now a desired species and reproduction is encouraged. It is a big bonus for lake ontario fishers to finally get a non native speceies not designated put& take!
  17. The thing about John was " he got it" he knew why we where we here, he knew, he was the closest thing to jesus our generation will ever get that man " GOT IT" we still try to understand.
  18. I fished in those huts last year and my only complaint was mobility, but to be honest the time it took to setup the hut was about the same as it took to drill new holes, I was totally a beleiver in the hut desingh, the deal was to have another fisher ready to move. The best way to mobile with those tent type huts is break them down completly and move, don't try to move with them semi erect it's a witch, on the brightside it only takes a second to set them back up. You can still run & gun just alittle slower
  19. after reading 6 pages of crap I don't know what to buy hahahahahah, the best deal wins lol
  20. Thankyou for your agreement your definitly on the right side of the fence, lets all get together and make our Lake Ontario Steelhead fishery the greatest fishery world wide, the potental is there and I still think Lake O Steel is the finest Steel out there. I'll put lake O Steelies agaianst any other in the province, the next step is to get them to spawning sites and then we will have a truely inceridible fishery
  21. The change is already been done on the American side without an uproar, Biologists on both sides of the lake have noticed dwindling Rainbow populations hence the new limits are being discussed. Two Steelies per person is plenty, there is no need for the charters to slaughter 20- 30 rainbows per trip, if you want to fish the blue zone take time to catch & release.
  22. I've heard rumour of Rainbow Trout limits being cut to 2 on Lake Ontario from 5
  23. I guess not, when the NFL decides to send a football team north perhaps there will be support, instead they send the Bills hehehehehehe
