As I have posted earlier ,I am moving to the Rideau lakes this spring. I am having a problem finding out what species of fish are in all the different lakes. I am particularly interested in Lower and Upper Beverly Lakes near the town of Delta as that is where Im moving to. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Where in Belleville are you located ?

Ijust tiled my basement floor a month ago. It is a concrete floor. Just make sure it is sealed. If it isnt you can buy sealant at Home Depot. I used the peel and stick tiles which I also got at Home Depot.

Ive always said that one day I would like a pontoon boat with a BBQ on it. Maybe some day. I guess it depends on the body of water. I think it would suit a smaller and calmer lake but who knows. Years ago , Lew and I ,our Dad and a few others would rent a raft in Bewdly on Rice lake every year with a BBQ and was always a good trip. We never caught any fish but thats anotherstory.

With all these new toys you may finally catch a Pickeral in Quinte this spring.

Buying a house in the heart of the Rideau lakes and exploring the fishing. Cant seem to get much information but it sounds like lots of bass and lakers.

I cant remember my first fish but I also cant remember not fishing. My Dad almost never went fishing without Lew and I even when we were little kids.That also included deer hunting. He would send us into a swamp or some bush and we would bark like dogs to scare the deer up while the old man would wait at the other end. Sure wish he was around today so I could take him fishing.

I was a Volenteer Firefighter for the Township of Scugog for many years. One night in early January we got a call of people calling for help some where out on Lake Scugog about 8 PM. Six of us volenteered to go out after them. We found 2 guys who had fallen through the ice. One was dead and the otherone was in bad shape. We got them both to shore but we could feel the ice moving under our feet. It could have been a disasster if we had all gone through the ice. Shortly after that the Township bought us 6 Survival suits and an inflatable raft for ice rescuses.
