  1. All the best on your move Steve! Enjoy, and be safe!
  2. junk. to junk. and Neg. to Neg. This places the two batteries in parallel with each other and will give you 12 volts output, but with double the battery life. Connect your motor to junk. on one battery, and Neg. terminal on the same battery. In my opinion, I prefer Minn Kota, but they are both very good. Strange, the wordsmiths have changed my post! "Junk" has replaced the abreviated "Positive", so replace "junk" with "+".
  3. Brian, Your original route plan sounds good. With the additional info from Eh, I would try to hit the Jann's store as well. I will be making the same trip in August and plan to take that one in as well. I'm also going to the NASCAR race in Michigan this August as well, so I'm really pumped for this trip!
  4. Happy Birthday douG! Many Happy Returns!
  5. I never had any use for the original Gulp product. I do like the look of the 3" leeches in the pails, so I will be giving them another shot this year.
  6. Great info Roger! That aquarium always holds my attention whenever I am in the store as well. I do know that the store takes the care of these fish very seriously too. I think you really nailed it when you said that this is the only opportunity some folks get to see these fish up close and personal and are allowed the chance to dream! Thanks again, and hope to see you in there one of these days soon.
  7. Wayne, Actually it is a Power Point presentation saved as an Adobe .pdf file. Very informative and well done, but it would be a mess on Dial-up for sure!
  8. Is that what they mean by "Walleye chop"?
  9. Likewise Terry, I'll let the local Yamaha dealer in Shelburne know about the theft. If they plan to unload it, we can at least make things difficult for them!
  10. Great job by Bob Izumi! Let's also not forget that the late Hank Gibson of Keswick was the first Canadian (I believe) to make it to the Bass Masters Classic and fish against the big guns. Still quite a feat in my mind. What network or satellite system do you need to get ESPN2 or The Outdoor Channel? We get WFN, & Wild TV on Bell Expressvu.
  11. GCD, Am I ever glad I made it to the washroom before reading your post! LOL The visual of your follies was more than I could take! We have all done most of these things (repeating your antics would definitely be a first for me!), but I still say that my most enjoyable time in the summer is to go into Orillia for a feast at King's, then grab a coffee and go sit down by the ramp on "Couch" for some evening entertainment! we used to let the kids play on the park equipment there while I got a few laughs watching the clowns at the ramp.
  12. The Power drive foot pedals are notorious for failing like this. I love Minn Kota motors, but will never buy this particular type again. They have small micro switches in the foot pedal that arc and burn out. The resistance through the switches causes the slow turning of the servo motors. The cable drive is the only way to go in my opinion. I would never switch back now. I once thought they would be a pain, but in fact they are a dream! For service, try Rockey's in Orillia or Aikman's in Mississauga. they are both good shops.
  13. Happy Birthday Mr. Beans! (I always respect my elders!) LOL
  14. Consider it done Rick! Hoping for a speedy recovery and hope he gets better soon! These unknown issues can really be scary.
  15. Nice report Michael, thanks for posting. Is Angie, Chet's Wife?
  16. I too will vouch for Greg and his work. I had my cover made there about 7 years ago. A few mishaps this winter has me in need of some repairs. I plan to take it down to him for those repairs and a few modifications this year. Great guy and great service!
  17. WOW! Bikinis AND Bass....I'm pretty sure it don't get any better than that!
  18. Glad things worked out ok for you cityfisher! Even with the expensive tow, it could have been a lot worse. I nearly put my snowblower through the ice this year...and that was scarey enough for me!
  19. Really nice mix of fish there! And Lake "O" to boot! That is really nice to see. Thanks for sharing this with us!
  20. Sorry to read of your mishap Cliff, but glad to hear that you are fine and things are on the road back to normal.
  21. Wow! I know nothing about this stuff, but it sure looked as though Mike dominated the fight! I guess you would have to see the whole fight.
  22. Trickle charging at a low amp is always best, but if time is of any importance, then as Terry said, go with a 10 amp and then have it trickle down for the last part of the charge.
  23. Cliff, The boat looks great. enjoy!
  24. Ted, that would be Sayal Electronics for one! They have several locations.
  25. Good topic! Lindner's Angling Edge is my personal favourite with all the old regulars from the early "In-Fisherman" days. Locally, Urban Outdoor Adventures with Shaun Rickard is good. I really can't stand the shows with all the music blaring and camera shots jumping all over the place. i could care less about them having some hockey player or other celebrity out there fishing. A pet peeve of mine right now is that I pay a premium to receive WFN, and it seems the only time I get to sit and watch a show, they have that stupid "Line Dancer" infomercial on!!! Give me a break! The least they could do is show it at 3 or 4 am in the morning (sorry Lew! LOL) where it belongs.
