  1. LOL Thanks Rick. Even after posting this, my brain has been turning away. I think I got a good start to what I want to try. Start off with charded plum maters, some red sweet peppers the same and add some habinaros. Salt and pepper to taste. Pure all the above, pour over slices of beef and let stew very slow to desired tenderness. Now what would one serve as a side dish? Maybe a penne greek salad? The choices are never ending.
  2. Nice choice. Diana,s has some great sauce/marinade. Im looking from scratch. I may just have to try and retry, but when I get it, I will know and so will you guys.
  3. Ya that works for me. Nice job dude.
  4. Thats a sweet dish there Doug. YUM YUM Now I need a bit of help here. Im looking for a sliced beef simmering sauce. It,s a sauce that is spicey hot (not to hot to burn ya a new one ) but one that I can simmer some beef slices in for a beef on a bun. I can only remember one that I use to eat at a pool hall back in my teens. It was a portugal billards hall. Man it was so good. This guy would start making it first thing in the morning for the local ole boys to have during thier domino games. It was a hit and home run. He cooked it up in a crook pot. Anyone got one? Thanks

  12. Im for saying close the boarders and no more. Lets take care of our own. No one out there in any other country is going to help us. Hell, even our neighbour to the south are in trouble. I say close our boarders NOW. Canada can not save the world. We are in debt, yet we spend/send, millions of dollars to save people from other countries. Dose that make sence to you all ?????????????

It did though, bring back so many flash backs. As you pull into cold water, there the grocery store. I dought it was food land back then, maybe IGA.This is where pop always stopped to get the groceries for the weeks stay. Leaving town there was the beer store. Driving along honey harbour rd, I tried to find his old friends place on the water at the turn off we use to take. Nothing looked the same, except theres lots of green where water use to be.

Where we use to launch and head to an island to camp was no longer. Private property. I know it,s the place as I asked some older locals. What a shame. So headed home thinking about all the times we spent up there. Got to give my pop a call and tell him about the changes and thank him for the memories.

  22. You find in almost all smaller cities, these places get low ratings. Lots of talk about the best being in Toronto. Ah ya, they have the largest asian based community. Yes the few here in Barrie dont compare, but it gives me the satisfaction of a good asian soup. Great people as well.
