  1. Thanks for the info, could you do a update on Friday maybe lol. Hope to get out there soon
  2. honestly if u find the key to jumbos there let us all know lol
  3. I'm just using a Shimano Worm binder made for plastics...I pack the pairs and triples of same color/size in the ziplock bags it came with...seems to work better than the bulky traditional spinnerbait containers.
  4. That's just amazing...wow Good little read, thanks for posting
  5. The new Sustain is pretty nice we got them in last week at Gagnons. There set at $324.99 this year. We sold the couple old model Sustain's we had during the Christmas sale.
  6. Sorry to hear bud, it was a lot of people...head it's been pretty slow over there too lately...
  7. Some really great fish posted here. I didn't get what I was hoping for and that was a PB Largemouth...I did get a new Kawartha PB but the Seymour 6lb 14oz still is still my PB. However over this year I did manage to gather a few more PB catches. Here are some pictures A PB Walleye...26" long I think...should be heading out to Quinte soon so don't think that PB will last lol This Spring I got out for some float fishing for trout and caught my first rainbow...was fun but a slow day Then came some slight open water and I was out again with GoneFishin for some trolling on Lake Ontario...we got into this nice brown on the first trip out, my first and PB And Last was a fairly nice pike I caught while working up at Kesagami. Many many others were caught that would eat mine haha but regardless I got into this nice one would rather sit and jig walleye boatside. 38" Tightlines guys, MTBF
  8. Hope you have a great year too Cliff! Thanks for the kind post
  9. Bring it down to Gagnons. You will be billed shipping for the rod cause the replacement will be under warranty
  10. I second that, very nice units. Lot's of people seem to buy them.
  11. I picked up a Marcum VS380 and can't wait to use it
  12. Are you talking about bass or dinks my friend? Yes bas can be easy to catch...small bait live bait some days you cant keep small bass off but I never can have a day where every bass is over 3 lbs and big...To say they are the easiest to catch thats because small bass are readily available. When I tye on a flippin jig or a scum frog and go "bass fishing" I'm not finding it easy...a half dozen morning bites is all I get sometimes and those are not small "bass" but quality fish. Like you walleye fishing is easy....I have never caught a hundred bass in 2hrs ten ft away from my boat...but the almighty walleye please there is one lure u need and thats a jig and grub...real hard to catch
  13. Nice hut and your welcome for the help I gave you buddy. Justin is a great guy, busy and hard to find some days but hell help u out when u need it same for dave...They always go out of there wall to help.
  14. We have two down at Gagnon Sports my friend. I'll check prices out and get back to you.
  15. I would go with a 6'8 or 6'10 Med X-Fast or Med Hvy Fast action rod. Something for senko's tube jigs and maybe a topwater on those mornings. 15lb braid and tie a leader on during those clear water trips and your all set. The new Compre and Crucials spinning rods are light and made with lightweight material. They match nicely with any reel.
  16. Since they are pitching rod for me as a mainline I'll run 55lb Samurai or 50lb Power Pro braids. The 7'1H i'll use for the 1/2oz and under jigs and the 7'3MH for 3/8-1/4oz t rigged plastics like craws and rodents. Anyway when I use the 7'3MH I'll just run a 15lb Fluorocarbon leader(Trilene 100%)...10" Power worm 8/0 Tro Kar wide gap and your off to the races lol...On the light side still the 15lb Fluoro but a 7" worm and well maybe a 4 or 5 wide gap
  17. Your right about the Samurai braid, I love that stuff. Put it to the test over a month of frog fishing and it never let up. As for the new Daiwa T3 how do you like it? I recently got hold of a Daiwa Zillion 8'MH "swimbait" rod and need a reel for it. This reel and the regular Zillion series I am considering trying out. I love my G.Loomis and Shimano reels but this rod was at no cost hardly so a good time to try what high end Daiwa has to offer. Reviews on the reel? Tightlines MTBF
  18. I plan on trying both my 7'1H Fast NRX/Core50MG and 7'3MH Fast NRX/Core50MG7 with some worm fishing...But primarily they are going to be pitching rods...lighter jigs and plastics.
  19. I Cast 15lb Fluoro straight on my spinnerbait rod...I like it I get distance and have never...never broke off. I used 12lb on my crankbait rod this fall...I had no problems with it again, incredible distance and only one break off in a bunch of outings(musky hit the crank) Are you using it.....right lol
  20. Yup, great site. Have sold a few things on there.
  21. Shimano has new Compre Musky rods out now. They are split grip design and are light for musky rods IMO. Then you have Legend Musky rods and at the top G.Loomis also has a nice collection of sticks. Shop around, many to choose from. Compre is a good rod tho for the $$.
  22. Now that's a Musky...40's pfft lol What a achievement!
  23. O don't worry...I'll be here all for the hole winternet season...my gift to you Merry Christmas pal. Say hi to TJ next time u two talk
  24. Thank's for the reply's guys. I know this is now a "frog rod" but a 7'MH spinning is better than a 6'6m spinning. They are not getting 7'5h or 7'h casting rods from me this year lol...the rod for the job. They just need some more power. It appears there are 7'2MH Clarus rods now, might just be the one I'm looking to get for the two...maybe the 6'10MH's...well see Anyway thanks for some reinsurance in the low end Shimano products
  25. Giant's man wow! Thanks for sharing
