  8. What can I say .. Have yet to catch a BOQ eye but if missed fish or sheepshead are what you want I'm your man . No excuses but will be using a 'stick' next time not messin with reels, mitts etc. Also realized we were a little undersized when it came to lure and hook sizes. But Hawg Hunter quickly fixed that . Highly reccomend Hawg Hunter as he worked hard to get us on fish . Kept us on the move and even managed to find his way back to shore in the dark and blowing snow. Looking forward to meetin up again next year . Thanks Randy TB

  15. welcome BB or welcome back . Never did get up to Lac Seul to try out your tips but there always this year. My oldest son is headed to either Fleming or Sault college for the Fish game technology couses .Been hinting to him that maybe he should look at spending summer working a lodge up north . Do you recomend that ? He's worried about making enough money to cover his schooling. Right now he's planning to keep working at the local grocery store He is an excellent fisherman , gets along well with most folks and I think would make an excellent guide ... but hey he's my son ! and Keep those pictures coming TB
  16. Planning to spend a day with Pikeie on the BOQ the last week of Feb.Part of a Christmas gift ,other half is ether Nip or Temagami in March Wanting to target walleye but being cheap ... are there any areas that can be walked to from shore OR is a guide highly reccomended. We are highly mobile and don't mind drilling holes by the dozen ! Any PMs appreciated , not looking for specific locations just a starting point . thanks TB
  17. Thanks Wayne Good idea ,its in a protected area ( not knees or butt) that should work Surprised your suggestion didn't involve rivets ! TB

  21. Meely Lots of fake stone product on the market now . Easy to install to .we did a wall in our old house of fake(concrete) brick. Can NOT tell its fake Plywood backer ( want a solid wall) and installed the brick with wall tile adhesive .Then grout . TB
  22. born in Barrie and moved back about 16 yrs ago. What I tell people if is you're moving here ( and working in TO) for the cheaper than TO houses only ...forget it . But if you also want the lifestyle (Simcoe ,ski hills etc ,the near north on your doorstep) then go fo it . I did the daily commute ( company car ) for about 12 years and survived! My job takes me all over southern ontario , so one day drive to the TO ,next day London ,next day Kingston etc Now I 'm awork from home 1-2 days a week ...not so bad. As far as fishing goes , of course Simcoe , tons of creeks and streams around ,the Muskokas and Georgian Bay keep us pretty busy year round. We also fish the valley alot ( grew up north of Kingston , have a hunt camp in the valley) and I miss all those small hidden lakes . but like I said we still get out there 5-6 times a year to fish Overall Have never regretted the move the Barrie , planning to stay . TB
