Question for the police officers on the board (NF)
tinbanger replied to timmeh's topic in General Discussion
again no reason to be 5o km over . I 'm surprised none of you complainers have argued how 'unfair' the construction zone speed limits are and that they are 'traps' to fill quotas.Same with school zones Oh and while your at it why should you bother slowing down and or changing lanes for stopped emergency vehicles. Life is so unfair TB -
had a bigger one on ( maybe 30") in about 6 feet water , but missed a good hookset and off he went. also a small follower to the boat . TB

Question for the police officers on the board (NF)
tinbanger replied to timmeh's topic in General Discussion
Not that I can add too much to this but for those speeders ( OR racers) try slowing down and see how your gas mileage improves , better yet drive smoothly and you'll have more gas for the boat . I have NO problems with the Racing/Speeding law , fatalities have reduced 40% since it was introduced , coincidence ?, think again. If you still think it unfair there are several hundred family members who would differ. For the record and sake of the original post ..110 -118 on 400 series , 85-90 in 8o kph zones ,bang on the posted limit if lower ie My street ! no tickets for 6 years , QPP don't seem to like Ontario plates TB -
Fall Bassin' - Gotta Love It!!! (Report and Pics)

Great report Justin . You use more different lures in one days than some guys do all year TB -
Took Workwear up on his offer in 'Hookups' to get together and fish south end of Simcoe. He was launching from the east side and he picked me up from the end of hwy 89 shortly before 7 am and we headed up to try our luck around fox island . Big rollers our of the north and rain off and on made for not the most pleasant conditions .Although peter's big Pro vee sure is a nice comfortable boat to fish out of . we fished hard for a couple of hours with one little perch to show for it . spent the rest of the morning looking for Pike in Cooks Bay .One small one in the boat, I had a larger one on for a few seconds and a couple of more Perch .We called it a day just before noon . Thanks again peter , hope you made out of the launch ok .And don't forget those rain pants next time . Hopefully we can connect on the water again soon. Sorry no pics as it was way to wet to try . TB

Seems like a lot of new boats have been purchased over the past couple of years and was wondering if you had a 'do over' what would you change or is everthing perfect ? Not a wish list but something within your grasp We bought a 1775 Lund classic ss with 90 hp mer 4 stroke , 5 seats and a galvanized bunk trailer 3 years ago I would take a serious look at a full windshield over the side console we have.chose the side console for room when the whole family (5) fished which isn't that often .the windshield would be nice on those cool days with a full top ! 24v trolling motor instead of the 12 v Issues replaced both trim switches ( throttle ,motor) in year 2 and 3 under warrenty replaced 2 seats as stiching was ripping at the vinyl under warrenty speedo has never worked Other than that quite happy with the 90 hp 4 stroke merc and the boat overall May help some of those who may be looking . Floater suit ,even on Oct /Nov days as the water temps would make for a cold dip. best solution I have found for gloves is the rawhide lined mitts that come halfway up your forearm easy to throw off when needed and put on. Spare pair of insulated workgloves as back up . Any old toque will do and off course rubber boots! Cold hands are part of the experience just keep my feet ,head and core cozy and I could fish all day . TB

MY 90 4 stroke has almost no shake , hows the prop? the streeting sounds ok , I have play at idle which is goNe under power. TB
-
and don't forget the tranny cooler ! We tow ( Honda Odysee) our 1775 Lund classic with 90 hp and often approach the max towing capacity ( 5 in the family , full tanks , gear etc)90% of the launches I use are good concrete or properly sloped gravel .One ( launching next saturday) is a backroad access point that is very scarey , but only time I had an issue was last year when we loaded in the dark and didn't realize the trailer spare ( mounte dlow on the side rail) was hanging me up . Found out this summer that it stops well too when needed tb

Well some of us have to work harder to catch our fish! take care D
