let me offer this I have been on the 'owner' side of commercial development for over 15 years , everything from small maintenance projects to multi million dollar projects . I have dealt with numerous contractors over the years .Some only once others multiple times But only one for those entire 15 years and I think you can guess why . Lots of talk of permits ,insurance and engineering but at the end of the day you are the one who is dealing with the customer ( and a good one at that it sounds) His word of mouth advertising will come back 10 fold . Meeley Meet at the boat ramp in Bobcaygon and we'll team up ! Cover more water that way TB

Sinker Not sure where fish were seen ,it was the OFAH program lead that reported that . I'll probably hold off returning untill Sunday night or maybe even later with all this rain TB
-
crossed the bridge last night and there is still lots of ice to the south , aproximatly from the last marina on the west side ( right if your looking south ) across. pretty grey looking some rain and wind will help but temps sound like they may be a bit on the cool side for the next few days . Lots of open water on the Couch side. local private launche at the bridge may make a killing if things don't change . but Terry said they would and he's neevveer wrong TB

maybe but try bailing with a drift sock ! Also works as a head for the boat TB -
On our old aluminum boat used a safty razor to lift an edge of the old sticker , could get most off in 4 or five pieces .Then 'goof off' to remove any small pieces and residue . Didn't hurt the paint ..but it was a 25 yr old boat worked good. TB

thanks for the link Ohiofisherman ..but those are American fish (insert jooke here) No idea what the water temps were but most likely not in the range mentioned yet. i'll post again when we see fish. TB

Nice work The details are very slick , excellent craftsman ship as there is no way to hide things with trim etc . tb

Trombly's 20th Anniversary Celebrations

thanks for posting Irishfield some good deals especially the survival suits and drift socks . tempted but see the 'pros' using buckets (blue seems to work the best) for trolling so guess thats good enough for us . save the $ for gas this summer TB -
Pikeie and I stopped by the dam in Coboconk as part of the MNR/OFAH walley spawning count surveylast night. Not a single fish , flow was very fast with two of the sluices (sp?) wide open . with more rain on its way and lots of snow in the bush to melt yet it will only get worse. Feel for those like Moira River Man who will be impacted . Spoke iwth the OFAH rep today and the three dams he checked also had higher than normal flows and only fish at one of them .According to the MNR biologist whose running the show they should be spawning at these sites by now , but like everything this year they're late . I wonder if this will have an impact on walleye spawning success this year or do they just move down river ? tb

awesome report Do you live in the area? I grew up just south of there in Glenburnie , but don"t think we ever fished that lake . Hav ebeen thinkin about giving it a try one year . TB

Guiness or Smithwicks if out on the town Dab, Stella ,Grolsch ,Boddingtons for lounging around the BBQ Maclay's if the inlaws are coming over Just tried Presidents Choice Pilsner and found it pretty good , something about clear bottles , the backyard deck and a cold snow bank that I like . TB

another thing to be aware of is ( especially if you are living in the house while you paint) is VOC s ( Volotile Organic compunds) thats the stuff that gives some people headaches . All materials eminate these over time ( carpets ,furniture, cabinets ,paints etc) Even afte rthe paint is'dry' Sherwin Williams Harmony series are low VOC and I'm sure there are many others as well. Just something to think about. TB

My newbie experience happened 3 years ago . Just picked up the new Lund and decided to give her test spin on the way home. Launching was no problem ,had a short slow tour for an hour or so then came the loading part. Backed the trailer down the ramp with our 4 week old Honda van ...nice and straight first shot. applied parking brake ,put down drivers window , left van running and proceeded to power load the boat on just like the pros. Again perfect! walked to the front of the boat to attach the strap ...thats when I noticed the van ( which is running) is in .. wait for it... reverse I calmly asked my oldest to carefully put the van in park. lots more experinces to come ...I'm sure
