  2. Giver Ron.... Ya gotta fight... for the right... to fishhhhhhhh....
  3. We fish barbless pretty much all the time, i got sick of wounding smaller fish before i put them back. Fishing with barbless hooks makes taking them off the hook soooooooo much easier. Unless you absolutley have to get that fish in the boat, i dont see why everyone doesn't do it. As i get bit older ,, uuhhg.. it doesnt matter to me so much whether i get the fish in the boat esspecially if i know that they are just gonna get thrown back any way, and if im keeping them for the table, well.. its a more sportsman like challenge, and if ya keep your rod tip up, and your drags set right, your not gonna loose them any way. and if y do.. like I told my kids when they were 5, if ya loose it, don't worry, there will be another one right behind it. Now ive got great kids who love to fish for the sake of fishing, not the sake of eating... Fishing barbless, is not only more sportsman like, it will help you be more attentive and a better angler as far as Im concerned, and Ive never dated anyone named Barb. hmm keep your rod tip up... i think ill change my sig to that!!! LOL

  10. I spent 6 months watching ebay to get the chance to buy the original 1925 story of the discovery and subsequent naming of the Aurora trout. Finally got the magazine and had a chance to add it to my site. Its a great read for anyone who loves the Temagami (Timagami back then) area and this fascinating (at least to me) fish. These gents sure went though alot to get to those fish!!! I doubt this original account has been read in 85 years or so by very many people. ENJOY!! Story of the discovery of the Aurora Trout

  19. Well after himming and hawing all summer as to what we should do with the smaller tent (it was old and the canvas was finally giving way) we decided to frame up a new guest house for the camp. Between taking the other one down and framing and getting this one ready, there really wasn't much time for anything else!!! BUT its done and ready for the hunt in October.. 24. Thanks all!!! Im hoping to get up here as much as possible in august. The Lures are the Mangler frog lures, you can use em as a topwater and then they dive down about a foot for the retrieve, the side to side action is really good. I casted and trolled all day with them. I have ni idea why the duck is mooning me, and wayne, stay tuned , youll have lots of time to visit!! Joey, i think its her nails that attract the fish!!!
