  2. wow, what a great family. most impressive. If you need to store that suick i have some room in my box pete.
  3. You had a great time and thats the bottom line Bill. I was out on Pigeon on Saturday and saw a lot of waves and wind. Thats it. I cleaned a lot of lures and got too much sun. No weeds out there that I saw. Very patchy, very scattered. The temps were avg about 65-67 on the main body. I am heading up for a week with the lady friend first week of July so hopefully I will have some luck. I will give you a shout next time I am going to head up for the day and maybe we could meet up there.
  4. Congrats. Was a great day. I should have went with you guys, my luck was not to be on Saturday. I am going fishin for the First week of July hopefully the weeds and the bite are on. Great job guys.
  5. Hahaha I was thinking the same thing
  6. I know there is a guy on here, I remember seeing his post when the Tourny was just starting. I cant remember what team or what his screen name was. Hopefully he will read this.
  7. Nice job guys. I was also out on Pigeon on saturday, with no luck though. The south end of the lack was lacking weeds entirely. I think we found about 2 spots with very very remote patches. No luck though. We tried at the north end of Big as well and came up short. Should have headed into the Bald Lakes. Great job though. Nice to start the season with a few fish. Thats a few more then I started with.
  8. Nicely played Doug! And yes, welcome aboard!
  9. Looks like a blast Rich. Well done.
  10. Hey all, I need some help. I am going to be re-painting my Aluminum Boat. That means off with the old Lund Decals and time to source out some new ones. And some fresh Paint to make it look snazzy. Now I am not sure about that part. Does anyone know of any graphics guys that can or if there is a place that carries the decals? Its a Lund WC-14. I am going to snoop around the Lund site to see if I can find anything out. Any direction would be great. Thanks in advance guys (and ladies)
  11. I wouldnt go this route, my buddy has this and if you lean back even when clamped, the seat slips and you almost go in the drink. Unfortunately, they are a great idea, just not perfected yet.
  12. Just got everything together. I will be on Pigeon at around 8 or so in a 14' Lund with a white johnson, if anyone is around dont be afraid to YELL OFC and approach, if not, you will get a lure thrown at you hahaha
  13. What kind of Rod is it? if its a St. Croix, call them for $3 or so they will send you a new one.
  14. The tip is usually glued on. With a lighter and a pair of pliers it comes off without any problems if its just the tip. If the rod is broken you may want to take it to a tackle shop and have them put a tip that fits properly. I replaced my St. Croix tip a few months ago, I called them and they sent me the crystallized glue and tip for $3. It took me about 2 minutes to replace.
  15. I also have the Frabill Big Game net and am really happy with it. Although I think I would have purchased a Fin Saver now that I have the Frabill. The bag is not as stiff. Either way they are both great products. I bought mine from Stacy at Pro Tackle, great guy to deal with and great service. JB's has them as well just like Dax said. I would trust just about anything Dax says actually, so go with what he said.
  16. Tundra I would have to disagree with you here, its hit or miss with Musky Baits and JB's is by no means the most expensive I have seen. They have been nothing but great with me. Other then a miscommunication error.
  17. Stellar piece Bunk, I can only hope I am able to do this someday and keep someone else on the edge of their seat like you had me.
  18. Cliff i had the 36" for my 14' and it did nothing. I bought a 48" and its great. Recycle bags (the blue ones) and Ikea bags also do the trick.
  19. Clive, just amazing pictures. You should put together a slide show or something of more pictures. The 35 just wasnt enough. One thing I have noticed about all of your pictures, they all look professionally taken. Whatever camera you are using, keep it up. I have a buddy that lives in Atl. and fished Thurmond this year, they were using line counters for Stripers and brought in 12 on that day...on a boat mind you. Good luck when you head back down there and take some more pictures, yours are always fantastic to look at.
  20. I have never added a trailer to a top water. I have however to about 80% of my bucktails when a standard bucktail is only getting follows. It has increased my follows to strikes by about 50-60%. Soon you will be broke Bill. I was just at JB's on Saturday and picked up a St. Croix 8' Glass Rod and I am ordering the Tekota online. I need to put a cap on my spending habits.
  21. Hey Bill, the Docs are heavier then the Spooks I believe. I have had luck with Poe's Giant Jackpot as well. Same Walk the Dog style but seem to have a little more POP to them I find. JB's has both, have a look. The Doc's are plastic bodies where the Poe's are wood (the ones I have are). Spooks seem to Glide more where as the Doc's and the Jackpots seem to bob more in the water. Hey, it cant hurt to have one of each.
  22. This is great guys. Thanks, I hope the results keep coming in. I use 80# and 100# PowerPro on my Musky outfits. Bass I like light gear for small mouth and use 6lb mono. Pike traditionally I have used 12 or 14# Mono but I am looking to try something new. Thanks and keep the input flowing. This will help out a lot more people as well I think.
  23. I know this is an ongoing topic and everyone has there own opinions, but there really never has been or never will be a clear "Best Choice". I know everyone uses different lines, but I thought I would throw this out there to see if I can get a better idea of what everyone else is using. For my Pike set up I usually use Mono, Musky strictly braid. Never used Fluoro before as Line, only for leaders. I am going to re-spool my 3 ultra lights, and 5 cast and spinning rods. For my pike set up I am undecided though. I almost bought some PowerPro yesterday but then I put it down and thought maybe Fluoro. I figured I would wait to see what you guys have to say about what to use for lighter set ups. I hope I can get some results from this. Thanks,
