  1. I have often wondered this myself and am interested in the responses. I have never researched it at all....I just get lazy and go to a cottage
  2. I am sitting here laughing out loud by myself hahahahaha
  3. I know where that is Nice job, maybe i will see you down there if i ever fish the harbour. i live in the Creek and have never wet my line anywhere near hamilton hahaha
  4. and if you look at Dans Avatar picture thats a perfect example of why you should read the regs. That is an OOS bass and he still claims it was legal....
  5. If you can see facial features you are too close, if you can read their registration number you are too close.....trolling, well thats a give or take, but casting let them have their space and hope they let you have yours. if not, but on a few sinkers and cast towards them if they get too close, even if they cut the line well you just lose some sinkers
  6. I think this is a good idea but i know everyone will have varying opinions. Just think, if all members donated $1 only, you would cover it really quick and no one would notice. This is by far the best fishing site going, proven by members from across North America and abroad. And its free, why not give back a little to something that has given us all so much already. Thanks Rick, you guys are doing a fantastic job on here.
  7. Have a look at a haines manual. they show wear and causes there are about 15 different wear patterns
  8. MuskyHart, my stradic is an all purpose. i was given it as a gift a few years back and my girlfriend didnt know what size to buy so she bought me that. its mainly my pike spinning reel. its too big for anything else, although i can use it for that. I am pretty much all baitcasters now but i still have all my spinning reels so why not use them right hahah It honestly wasnt that hard though, time consuming, taking pics and making sure you dont miss parts, or forget to oil/grease a part. Clamp-it, not sure. as soon as i cleaned off the grease though it worked properly. I dindt take pics of when it was fully apart and the housing was cleaned, although it would have been useful as i have no idea what all the parts are called.
  9. Well at 8 PM i embarked on cleaning my Stradic. I have never cleaned a reel before, and with Goteeboys post a few weeks back I went out and bought some Oil and Grease and dug in. 3 Hours to do my first reel. Yes long, but now I know what they are all about and could probably do it in an hour. I had no idea how it was put together or where the grease should go, but with Gotee's post, it was like learning to ride a bike. The only thing I screwed up on was I Greased instead of Oiled the Anti-Reverse Mechanism. After assembling I noticed it was slipping. I took it back apart cleaned the grease off, a few drops of Oil and shes better then new. here are some pics of my 3 Hour Tour. Tomorrow Night, another reel.........wish me luck
  10. Going to attempt my Stradic tonight, will let you know how it goes.
  11. Keep us updated guys, if I had the time off I would definitely be volunteering. Looking forward to how it goes.... Dax, I still have to sign up and get in for a meeting this summer, expect me (if I dont get shipped to Ottawa for work)
  12. Ahh Randy, too bad you dont have an electrician as a friend, he should have a bi-metal hole saw (4 1/2") surely. My neighbor is an electrician and has about 15 of them, all courtesy of his company (although he will never admit it)
  13. That is Uhaul in general. I know someone very close that worked there and worked with the president (past) and president (current) its not the best place as they can be horrible at times.
  14. Good Luck out there Bill, I am going to try and get up in the next few weeks as well, dont know where but just get out there. I was going to buy some Seagar 130# flouro with some snaps and swivels today but after he rang it all up i had to stop shopping and leave, thats why the Tekota didnt come with me today hahaha
  15. Great, Thanks Bill and G, I am going to start looking for one I think. Strictly to save myself if I ever am lost
  16. You can only get an online license if you have previously bought one, if not go to any sporting goods store or any store that has one across the bridge and pick one up. they are $40 i think for the ny non resident
  17. I dont think they removed them completely, it think they are just updating and changing the site. i remember reading on the MNR site a while back that a complete overhaul is coming, dont know if this is it or not

  20. Well I made it out to JB's finally. I called yesterday and spoke with Brian and he was finally going to be there. So my father and I made the trip. So here is what I came back with. I have another trip planned to go out there with a couple of friends and I also am going to pick up the St. Croix Glass Trolling Rod and the Tekota 600LC and another Compre for my dad. The business card is there for size aspect only. Ready to get on that soft water.....3rd Saturday in June.....too long to wait
  21. I think this is the way the entire consumer industry is going, or seems to be a trend. No matter where you go on as a consumer, you get treated like you dont mean anything. No one cares about their job and the attitudes reflect it. Mind you there are still some places albeit few and far between, that do know what customer service is, but these are mainly private small businesses. There is no such thing as "Hello, Bye, Have a nice Day, Can I help you with something, Thank You etc." I think it starts from Management all the way down to standard reps. There is no training, nothing enforced by management and no one is afraid to loose their jobs anymore. Tinman, i would be irate if I were you. Keep with it and keep pushing for some sort of action, he should have never said that on Drive-Thru and you should have never heard it, or your kids for that matter. Good Luck and I hope you see some results.
  22. Minnow's new Ranger has got me thinking....if I were in the market (if I had indispensable cash) which of these boats would I purchase. 1) Ranger 2) Champion 3) Bass Cat All three are well recognized, well built boats, with Ranger being the "Brand" in Canada as you dont seem much of either Champion or Bass Cat. Personally I would purchase a Champion but thats just me. What would you purchase?
