  1. That's pretty slick Jim. Nice to have done.
  2. Solid nookie Brian. Still got some good color to it yet. Keepin' it fun enjoying the peel, keepin' it reel!
  3. Some solid largos Chris. Nicely done.
  4. Have fun Dan. Understood how much you look forward to your annual trip... and don't you worry about the Leafs while you're gone, because unlike you, they won't be going anywhere again this year.
  5. A days quadin' around and exploring can be just as welcome as a days fishing sometimes. Cool effort Chris... but maybe stay outta there in future, at least until after a few frosts have come and gone.
  6. Nail 'em Bondy style Rob!!! That green puke Bondy bait sold at BPS might be a better rep of that beaten smallie though. Even has the orange tail.
  7. Fished with both these fellas and will say that in person they are as much fun and enthusiastic about fishing as they come across on line. As far as salmon fishing... if thousands of put-and-take fish with less chance for successful C&R can be taken for sport or money or fun by those able to do so on the lake, then a few lads enjoying some C&R with end of life river fish should certainly be nothing to smite. Some salmonella poisoning can be infectiously fun.
  8. Some great bassin' for ya Mike. And time well spent with family. Solid pics and thanks for sharing.
  9. This has been watched more than once.
  10. Great run down Rich. The four fish you did get certainly were good lookers, and some nice size to 'em too. We had one stubborn pike up north recently that was HUGE but smart. Your experience of returning time and again to chase that one fish reminded me of the same. Two weeks fishing muskie for you and Pat must have been great. Thanks for reporting.
  11. Fine eats dood! Good fishing.
  12. Like the pics. Cool set-ups guys. Will watch the vids in the morn. Spent the day at Funderland with the kiddies today. Sick with man cold and sleep deprived from some hotel partiers last night. I'd have rather had an easier day floating around in a tube jigging up fish. Better medicine.
  13. For sure Mike. Lew... you gotta have viewed a tonne of 'em by now and probably know it's always a goal to better the last... in all those things. Thanks dood! Thanks again fellas.
  14. The touque and glasses on the little Jack man are stylin'. Way to go Simon.
  15. "Way to ruin the end of the story Art." Guess he skipped a"head."
  16. That's a dandy Pete! Great ski and pic.
  17. Some great fishing and quite a tale to tell. Low on gas and busting through bush for big pike. Right on!! Thanks for sharing.
  18. Great show Tupes. Nice to see Doug into an esox plank too. Beteau sure coughs 'em up!
  19. Ugly Stix and Lightning Rods... Bamboo Series. Seriously though... there's too many good to great options for simply jiggin' up eyes.
  20. Hmph! You stood me up for those two yahoos. It was the best fishing by a landslide this year. Nice to see ya caught a piece of it Dan before season's shut down.
  21. Rob. Ya could have been working. Seems much better a day than that.
  22. Good pick-up Chris. Somewhere under a pile of dust and hay in a friend's Mother's old barn is a fiberglass canoe of mine. Reminiscent of days when I was fit. lol.
  23. It is too bad. Big undertaking 5 years ago, so much time, work, hope and headache. Maurice's other business built him up from little to a good life, and along the way he's seen some bumps in the road. This camp is almost in the right place but, if only he could have it sitting on the shores of Kesagami Lake itself. Then it would be a goldmine. The portage is easy though, the whole process 20 minutes, but for older people or families it may deter them from going. Fishing at Kesagami I find isn't "gang busters" for pike but between all the Ontario waters I've fished it has presented the biggest fish time and again. The walleye fishing can be sick too, and I do enjoy a couple hours slaying them daily, but the draw for me north these days to places like Kesagami is the hunt of truly exceptional pike, and this lake has them. It is a special place. To have had it all for a week just Bren and I, with no one else around and the fishing to ourselves, was a best Kesagami experience for us both, and a much needed time away from some Bull stinking here at home. And as far as Bren... I hope in our future we get back north for some work. They are needed and contracts for both of us would be welcome. Hear ya loud and clear Craig. Last week enjoyed one of Jack Penny's articles in the In-Fisherman and another one as well listing top pike spots in North America. Jack IMO is a guru on the specie and his continual praise of Talston, Slave, La Marte and Athabasca have me believing I will have to sample one of the great fisheries at some point. Ontario fisheries are a different beast yet super rewarding nonetheless. I wouldn't pay the ridiculous prices for some of the prarie lodges that cater solely to pike BUT, somewhere like Athabasca or Slave that offers giant lakers too would be worth sampling. So question is, when are we going? lol. Good seeing ya briefly Al. My count was off by one... less. Man what a wind next day. Hope your season ended well. You know Tom... she'll take that. Taking her fishing means she'll be taking center stage everytime. She crushes me out there... she's got it man! lol. Never used Chris. And yeah... imagine it would come in handy when the main camp is loaded with late nighters and snorers. Thanks for the replies gang. This is a late report that was slow to build and had to wait awhile to be posted.
  24. Great fishin' bud. Always enjoy your speckie from the toob reports. Some wicked colors on that bunch "up there."
  25. Working nights and sleeping days I almost wish the news didn't get reported at OFC this day. Sad to see this kind of thing... and becoming so common too.
