I had a half dozen friends ride up from Picton but I ride vintage and if anything was to break down it would ruin their trip, its a long haul for a 37 year old bike.

Buddy said crowd moved like cattle in a pen. I was there last year Jan 13 and that was crowded enough for me. Last weekend was the county boys trip to Main Duck so some went to the island and some to Dover and a few caught both. We had about 60-70 guys at Main Duck Is. and caught a few hundred smallies, some of which were eaten.

I avoided roofing for 30 years with a few lapses in judgment. I would think closing a valley without metal would be a recipe for disaster if you have any ice damming. If your looking for the look of shakes, I'm pretty sure I've never seen shakes weaved into a valley.

It came through here around 10, If my buddy is was on schedule he would have been in the middle of L.O. headed for one of the 1000 isl. about a half hour ahead of it with just enough time to get ashore pitch a tent and watch it blow away. If he was ahead of schedule and I think he was he might still have a tent if he got enough beer in it to hold it down.. If he was behind schedule, hopefully he's home in bed and leaving in the morning.

I suspect the curly light bulb will be the next environmental disaster.

You might consider the scootty's, They aren't clamp on but the holder comes off and leaves the bolt on mount.
-
I hope you charged them a $100 for storing it.

If you give mnr a call they will probably come and fine you for wasting it. Taxidermist might take it off your hands.

Tacklebuster..... You would be lucky to get a warning with a local cop but I'm almost sure the TOY PATROL is 0 tolerance because there are so many waiting for the last minute that the card may be dropped due to non compliance. So many of these cards have been issued online that they are pretty much useless anyway, I think google has been tested more than boaters.
-
Your local Canadian Power Squadron might have a coarse on or they can test you for about $20. Their test is now 50 questions instead of 35 but their card is good in the US. and they keep a record in case you loose it.

It'll be 1 or 2 tonight before it gets here and most of the rain has missed us this year so I'm off to fire up the irrigation pump.

They say there is enough heat generated from TO's blacktop to create a thunderstorm, I hope so, we could use the rain. I wonder if anyone has done a study what contributes more to global warming , the family car or the paved drive it sits on? Don't worry, Kids self regulate, If you treat them like someone with a bad heart they will end up someone with a bad heart.

How many times have we seen someone's complaint about others start with " I was fishing this channel". If your fishing in a channel and others have to slow down for you, you are restricting the flow of traffic and can be charged. There is no speed limit on most open water and a lot of the speed limit signs we do see are not legal due to the red tape involved in putting up a sign. Boating regs. are written so as not to restrict shipping. There is no "my space" around your boat, a lot of people here seem to think there is and are easily offended. The faster most boats go the less wake they put out so don't be offended by it, The last thing you want is a deep V to drop down and pass you at 10n The small boat regs do prohibit careless operation of a vessel. This means no one is allowed to operate a small vessel without due care and attention or reasonable consideration for other people . I guess some peoples reasonable consideration is different than others but if you are placed in danger then the offender should be charged. Your not going to see a boaters license any time soon because no branch of gov. is interested in issuing them, there is a good chance that by 2009 when all boaters need the operators card that the card will be dropped due to non compliance.

If I had a face like that I wouldn't let you post my picture unless I had a fish like that.

I thought about the float valve being partially blocked and making low fuel level in the bowl low but wouldn't it just run out of gas at a higher rpm if it can't supply enough fuel to idle. By closing of the air with the choke you lower the air pressure in the barrel creating more vacuum or a greater difference in air pressure across the carb circuits drawing in more fuel and making the richer fuel to air mixture. I imagine he's going to find a lot of scuzzy stuff floating around in there.
-
If it was the float valve not seating it would flood the motor not starve it, if the float valve was plugged choking the motor wouldn't draw extra fuel past it , Choking the motor makes it run better so there has to be fuel in the bowl for that to work so we can rule out the float valve and everything the other side of it. You didn't say it was old gas so that means crud or water. Some carbs have a drain at the bottom of the bowl, you might get real lucky and get rid of it simply draining the bowl. If you have to take the bowl off to drain it you may as well pull the main jet and stick a needle through it, sometimes you can see through it and it will still be filmed over. If you have the room you might be able to do it with the carb on the motor.

Have you ever seen this couch with your own eyes, sounds like a story to me, furniture stores make real estate look like angels. A few years ago mother bought a couch set, after something like 6 months refusing to refund her money I went to the store with her. After the same song and dance they had her into tears and that was it for me , I backed the truck up to the front door and told her to pick out anything she wanted, loaded it up and took it home. Store was full of customers so what are they going to do, sure aint calling the cops.

Buddies motor did the same thing, bog down - choke and away it goes. I cleaned the carbs for him and it worked fine for a while and did it again so he took the carbs apart and found a dandelion seed in the main jet. Gas has to be in the carb for it to pick it up by choking it so its not likely a filter or line or it would just run out of gas. Check the main jets. I would think it speeds up at idle because its running lean with something in the jets.

"If all the youngsters today were in these organizations, there would be less problems in this world." There are youngsters in these organizations all over the world we just call them something else. Scouting originated after the war to prepare youth for the next war, every country that has ever been to war would have similar ideas and a lot of them we label terrorist. We were lucky that as war became less likely that scouting morphed into something less violent, but if someone were to build a case to go to war with Canada scouting would be labeled Canadian Al Quida.

try a cutting wheel in your grinder and cut it off, or just grind one side away till you get down to the axle and it should loosen up.

First off there is no such thing as entirely natural or at least how do you define it. It was natural to have fires start on the west coast and burn all the way to the east coast, so the natural state of the bark could at some point be all burned up but we don't allow that to happen. If they don't cut there they got to cut somewhere else, as photoz points out a large tree in prime condition could replace several smaller trees that can grow to prime condition and replace several others again so its all in the management. If the loggers know they will have access to the area again they will manage it better than if they think its a one shot deal. You would like to think that cutting in the park would be done properly.

I have one of those bottom walkers that have a few inches of wire on it that I actually caught a fish with once but its main job is clearing the peehole.

Its not Superstition but fact that a topless lady on deck will calm high winds.

Its pretty simple, the only thing you have that draws much power is the trolling motor so get the battery to suit that, you were right all along to go for a deep cycle. AS for size, I would think the bigger the better.
