The right to bear arms was brought about by the Brits collecting guns from civilians to prevent uprising and meant to give the people the ability to overthrow the government should it get out of control and assure that the government would be for and by the people. I don't think most US gun owners are prepared to do this with maybe the exception of the worlds largest terrorist organization the KKK, over 6 million well armed government haters.

The problem with global warming or climate change is thats what climate does, it changes, and the whole global warming movement produces debate and debate produces more debate and no action. Back in the old days when we had pollution we knew we had pollution and some action would be taken to reduce pollution instead of debating if this action would change the weather. Instead of targeting climate change in the future lets just be happy with saving lives now.

Beg your pardon.....Merlands is a 2 min.walk from the Sportsman, the sportsman is more like a 10 min. stumble from Merlands as its up hill, in the dark with P breaks. But if you have to pull the boats its still a good idea. I've been by Merlands a million times but never been there, can't raft up the boats?

Bowfin are edible, there is a market for them in the commercial fishery. WE see them in the creek here when they come in and gobble up the walleye hatch.

Happened to three of us 27 years ago, a cop chased a car onto the main street where it went sideways and hit us. We almost cut a chevy nova in half with an international scout. Didn't look like it did much to the scout till we noticed it set the body back 3" off the frame. As both guys in the car came out the drivers door when they hit us and they were after them for a driving offense nobody was convicted because they couldn't tell who was driving. It was funny, they had just got my bud's head to stop bleeding in the ER when the cop came in looking for statements. The cop said he wasn't chasing them and my friend called Bull on him and started spurting blood all over so the cop wasn't interested in anything we had to say after that and he left.

I like that he can change the seating from the pedestal and lower them. If you take a boat rated for four and change to higher seating the rating would change to less people because of raising the center of gravity.

My buddy got a 2 year old yamaha with his new pontoon boat but only got a couple seasons out of it. This year he got a new black yammy 4 stroke and it is great. If I had to go outboard with the technology so different I think I'd be talking to the bank and go new or as close to new as I could get.

You can get some good value out of an old I/O like a 22' sea ray, not what your looking for but a good eg. of bang for the buck or you can end up with a piece of junk. I Like the volvo because its easy to work on, and if the motor blows up I can put a junk yard engine in it in a day for less than $300. You can't replace a 200hp outboard for that. I have the outdrive apart right now because I hit a pile of rocks early in the year and chipped a gear. I've collected parts over the years so this will run me for a gasket set. I wouldn't take an old OMC if you gave it to me.

Actually the live well people were already labeled by our Mohawk neighbors as "those who play with their food" Sort of depends on where you come from.

I wouldn't celebrate, The States got caught in a mortgage scam and despite the warning of American planes carrying nuclear missiles Iran stops selling oil in dollars. If George can pass that of as an attack on the US economy he may use those missiles.
