Its been a long time since they had a picture of King George on their money.

You do the walls not the floor, and you will need a vapor barrier to keep the building inspectors of your back. There is a paint you can use for the vapor barrier. If you want to buy some equipment and get into the foam insulation business let me know.

Get Donny to help you with it! LOL

Tired of Big Jon's downriggers any suggestions?

I like my scotties. -
You got a tap and die set right in front of you, make it. Its a metric bolt so if you have a SAE bolt thats not threaded all the way and is long enough and right diameter cut the threads off and make your bolt.

These days you need plastic on your cork for protection.....some of those rod holders can be rough. Ever see George Bush run a chain saw? Now thats scary. Someone should tell him you don't have to pull it back and forth.

These are recommended limits and I think the US limits are usually higher so if the boat was built in the US the manufacturers limit would be more than the Canadian limits.

If Donny helped cut up and transport an illegally taken moose shouldn't he be charged as well? If it was some other third person you can bet he would be.

Local marina says to take your fuel line off the motor when not in use and you don't get these problems. pressure builds up in the tank from sun or atmosphere changes and is held there by the check valve in the primer.

Don't worry smog will kill you long before the fish will.

I wonder what they planned on doing with those nuke cruise missals the other day? Was the attack called off or just saber rattling?

A few years back we made the 6 o'clock news for wiping out the smallmouth population of eastern LO, but I think there are still a few around.

An American that can't find a place on a map? Bite my tongue.

Its human instinct, we can't help it. When cave man #1 caught a critter cave man #2 knocked him in the head and took it away from him. That guys got a fish it should be mine, what the ell is Angy doing with Brad when she could have had me etc. Where's that picture of the little boy with the sour face and the girl standing beside him with a fish. If the habitat is there it won't take long for fish to fill it, when they can't fill their pales you got a problem.
-
Lot of guys have been having water problems.
-
Its hard to tell from the pictures if you crossed over to the south side of the lake or not. The thing with the bass in West Lake is they will be heavy in one spot and the next year they have moved to another, so if your not getting them steady your in the wrong place. There are a few big smallies if you know where to look for them.
-
Well I'm not to happy with West Lake right now, I whacked that pile of rocks early in the year. The drive started getting noisy last couple times out so now I got it all apart with a chewed up drive gear and the pieces ruined the bearings. Water is so low right now the guys are pulling the docks out.

Does anyone know how to raft up a canoe?
POLLIWOGG replied to POLLIWOGG's topic in General Discussion
No I want to know how to rope them together for crossing rough water. Tied together you get the stability of a multi hull. -
I did the same thing but I was surfing waves. If you screw up surfing waves the back of the the boat gets moving faster than the front and will spin out or rise up. If the stern rises up the next wave appears to be huge and the bow plows under it.
-
This might be a good time to ask. I want to get this into the power squadrons boating coarse.
-
You weren't surfing the waves by any chance?

I remember reading an article about police divers trying to recover a body in 0 visibility and they got a little spooked bumping into huge fish that they thought were sturgeon. I think it might have been at Scarborough Bluffs
-
Any bows I've pulled out of LO are like gone in sixty seconds, bows seem to die real fast even when I don't knock em in the head. As for the one you left on the surface, there is no legal way to retrieve it anyway.

I don't think anyone would buy a boat on exhaust rating but it might be something to think about the gap in technology from the modern outboard to an inboard. I don't think most people give any thought to CO at all and 99.99999% of the time we can get away with it but its the time that a boat moves along in the same direction and speed as its exhaust gas that gets it in trouble and if we are aware of that its easily corrected. Symptoms of co poisoning are the same as seasickness so if someone gets seasick we should ask ourselves where was he sitting and where is our exhst. going.
