  1. I help Santa out by telling her what I want .... then go ahead and buy it. The only stipulation is, it must stay in the box until Christmas Day. So, come Christmas, I can open my Lowrance H2O, watch the instructional DVD, and load MapCreate 6 Canada Topo on the computer. I'll have plenty of toys to play with this Christmas. Unfortunately, the couple lures I got, will have to wait a while longer.
  2. Wecclom abord. First post and a fishing report. looking foreward to seeing some of the beauties.
  3. Same as Dustink here. My employer has the Red Cross in every couple months and I'm in line to do my part. As my wife and I work in the same building and department, we can both give.
  4. Well ..... at least they have their shirts on. Merry Christmas GCD.
  5. As I am one who has not personnally had the opportunity to meet anyone from the board, let alone fish with anyone ... exactly how many members do we have now ? pick one, or two, or three, or .... Who knows maybe I can swing a trip to the Lakair GTG this summer and meet, greet, and fish with someone. I would consider myself a 'blessed' guy.
  6. Heard the wood cuttin' joke before ... but always good for a laugh.
  7. Good ole Santa .. she was good to me. I wanted a Lowrance H2O GPS unit - got it. I wanted the Canadian Topo Mapcreate to make maps - got it. I wanted some new musky lures - got them. I wanted a rod rack to hold all my rods - got it. Geee ... ya think I should stop there or keep on going. I have a wonderful Santa Clause.
  8. Christmas Vacation ... hands down.
  9. For a '96, that is a very nice looking machine. Hope you don't have to sit around too long before you can use her.
  10. Ours down here dropped to about 2.19 a gallon .... for a week. Now it's back up to around 2.25 or something like that. Hey ... they did drop it for a week. Guess they need their 6 or 7 figure bonusus too ... just like the rest of us laborers get.
  11. Merry Christmas ... and again Merry Christmas. Glad he's home safe and sound.
  12. It sure is great to get out for some action. Nice size on that last one there, but it was fun.
  13. The only fish I ever keep are a few bass for a fish fry. I'd rather not keep any of them, but the better half loves fresh fish, so I give in just a little. Everything else goes back.
  14. Multi-species. I do most of my fishing north of the border. July is bass season and we do fairly well. Late September we target Muksie and Pike. After a period of time wiht no activity, I guess you could say I'd be happy with anything that takes the line. But - we're out there enjoying the out of doors regardless of the bite. We typically keep a few basss for a fish fry and everything else is released for someone else or our next trip.
  15. Pretty cool, there. "For Sure Probably". Always let yourself an 'out', ya just never know. A trip like that sure deserves another.
  16. Nuttin' better than a batch of crappy for Christmas dinner.
  17. Cool beans. I'm gonna stick with the Christmas spirit a while yet.
  18. Seems like open heart surgery is relatively routine any more with a very high sucess rate. I know of many people in the age range that had multiple bypasses, valve replacements, and all were succussful. My grandmother was in her mid 80's when she had it done and recovered wonderfully. Great news to hear your father came through this and improving each day. Just make sure he follows the Dr. instructions and don't rush the recovery process ... it will come
  19. That's really a painting - looks dang close to a real photo. Very, Very nicely done.
  20. I saw a couple ... does that count ? Totally skunked this year.
  21. Perfectly legitimate question I would think.
  22. Dang ... .I thought they would give a "sneak peak" I don't even know how to read !
  23. No offense friends but, I really don't mind if you keep the cold air up there and we'll keep the warm down here. Just trying to help out you hard water lovers.
  24. Take that video ! Us Southern boys miss out on Nature's light show. Sure would love to see it for real someday.
  25. Our first boat was a Tracker Pro Angler V16 and we really liked it. I think it had originally come with a 25 Merc, but we upgraded a bit to a 40. Ran that one for a cdouple years and upgraded again to the Targa V-17 WT. Lot more room for us, two dogs, and the gear. I've been happy with the Trackers we've owned. The one's we've bought have been in the winter and just had to sit there looking at her until Spring finally broke. Congratulations ..... Now just how long will it be until you pur her in the water ?
