  1. That was a great tribute to what was obviously a very good friend...
  2. I picked that rod up in a store and thought...Muskie rod.
  3. Some good advise given! It takes some experience to successfully and quickly land and release a Muskie, especially a large one. I'd say you've got the right attitude! Nice fish and welcome to a very expensive(and rewarding)(and frustrating) hobby! If you're near Peterborough I highly recomend checking out a Kawartha Lakes Chapter(Muskies Canada) meeting, its a great way to meet other Muskie nuts and learn more about catching(and safely releasing) these amazing fish! http://www.muskiescanada.ca/chapters/kawartha_lakes.php
  4. Thanks for the idea on the Protitute, now I know how I'm going to spend my $330!
  5. I'd say in the range of 10-14K depending on if its a 4 stroke or 2 stroke, and of course general condition.
  6. Very nice! I like the colour, nice looking trailer too!
  7. I fail to see the point of posting pics with your face covered...Are you on the FBI's most wanted list? I'll be the first to say it, OOS pics are not permitted, nor are they cool...
  8. Get ones with auto stop, you won't regret it. I believe Cannon has that feature.
  9. I had a class II hitch on my GMC Safari, It attached to the bumber bracket, not the frame. Of course, many people are towing with a unibody design and thats pretty much a big bumber bracket! I have a class III on my Nissan Xterra, not because I need the 5000 lb. tow capacity, but the security of a frame mounted hitch.
  10. The seat mounts are not made to tow! I'm pretty sure you'd rip the base right out! Get a Y-rope attachment that contects to the two rear tie-downs that are on either side of the transome. Any boat dealer/Marina should carry them, and get a decent quality tow rope and tube.
  11. Do I hear a little bird...? cheep,cheep,cheap... LOL, just teasin ya! Listen to Lew, go get new batteries for your trip.
  12. I've been thinking its time for a dog in my house after not having one for some years...Anyone know anyone that breeds dogs? Or has puppies. I have always been a German Shepherd lover as the family dog was one when I was small...She was a great Dog. Anyway, just thinking about it right now, but summers coming and the kids will be home so it might be the right time...
  13. Nice work Lew, you must be enjoying that Garage! I made something similar out of a seat base and a Scotty rod holder.
  14. Try Radioworld, they had some good sale prices recently.
  15. Another thing to consider is the ease of installing manuals, you bolt them on and go, where as electrics may require some wiring. That being said, I have 2 electrics and I'm no hell when it comes to wiring but Its real easy to wire a 12v downrigger to your battery or board. And if you're fishing a 12# ball down 80 feet out on Lake Ontario your gonna be tired when you get that sucker up!
  16. Just remember to tie directly to the rack, not to the bungeed/duct taped 2x4s!
  17. A nice St.Croix for the money is the Mojo Bass Line, they sell for a little under $100.
  18. Nice one! Nothing prettier than a Brown in Spawning colours...
